Pikmin 4 DLC at the Game Awards?  

Do YOU think it's likely to see Pikmin DLC at the Game Awards?

If the dlc gives us a new area i hope that this area focuses more on the rock and winged Pikmin because they need it

Pikmin is an underrated franchise.

I would love getting more areas for Pikmin 4! If you look at the world map, you can see a slightly sandish looking area way above where Blossming Arcadia is, so that could be for a desert like location, and additional, I would love if we got an icy location, like a snowy mountain/cabin, or maybe even some sort of dilapidated wreckage area with many heavy things to better utilize Purple Pikmin

I’d really love to see a side story with a whole new area. Sort of a Olimar’s Shipwrecked tale thing. I’d love it if it was with the President considering we haven’t seen him in ages and his absence in the game is… really weird. Maybe Louie took too long, and so he came to find both Olimar and Louie. But by the time he gets there however, unbeknownst to him, they’ve both already been rescued. He finds Moss and does silly President stuff, collecting money and things. The hocotate ship could return too!

I don't want to get my hopes up too high both in regards to the kind of DLC and the existence of the DLC itself, but the PERFECT DLC for me would be a randomly generated cave roguelike mode. Imagine the Binding of Isaac but with Pikmin.

While I broadly agree about new Dandori Battles and Challenges likely coming with a new area, I also wouldn't discount them instead giving us a second Trial of the Sage Leaf-style cave, gauntlet, or other thing like that. It'd be relatively easy to 'discover' a new cave in the hub area and have that be the DLC location. As for mode and feature DLCs, my main wish for Pikmin 4 updates or paid DLC is not actually for difficulty modes: it's for New Game+. The very end-game unlocks are too late to be of much use for many players, especially those who saved Olimar's Shipwreck Tale for later, or who 100%ed areas as they went (both things I did). I would love to have been able to use Oatchi's final ability unlock, Louie's final reward, or the two unlocks from the Trial of the Sage Leaf at least a little before the game was over. As it is, I've pretty much only used the Oatchi and Louie unlocks in Dandori Challenges, and the Sage Leaf unlock for ONE treasure in the final area. It would totally make no story sense to have those abilities from the start, but a New Game+ mode which gives you access to all the unlocks from your previous play through would still be a fun way to experience the game. Maybe this could or should be paired with a harder difficulty mode too, or just a remix of the areas a little like Olimar's Tale did.

I think for a dlc I think it would be best to give some updates for free like difficulty options and things like that and make people pay for some new story mode areas and extra challenges just my idea

Pikmin 4, based on the latest numbers, is by far the most popular in Japan. Does the Japanese audience watch the Game Awards? If they do, I think it would make sense to announce DLC there!

I hope DLC comes Pikmin4 is one of the most fun games I’ve played

If Cities: Skylines II's launch hadn't been such a disaster in terms of performance and community response (AND if its console release hadn't been bumped into next year too), I'd have said C:SII would be the clear favourite for the simulation category. But given how it went, I think Pikmin 4 really does have a shot, and I would say it's probably the most likely of the three Nintendo titles in that category at least.

This isn’t realistic but what about some sort of side campaign that brought back old captains. For example louie could maybe have his own story or the koppaites could return or even the president could come back with his very own story. I think that would really shine a lot of light on characters that didn’t get much or enough representation in the main game they could even have remade versions of older levels to show how they’ve aged, like imagine the impact site returning but maybe more to explore or more vegetation

My dream dlc 3 new areas( a snow area, a desert temple area and maybe a machine type of area but idk about this one ) 2 caves, 2 dandori challenge and 1 battle in each area A difficulty option Orange pikmin And a mode where it shows how donbergin, yorke and nelle get to the planet and it could be about collecting friut to save their home, similar to pikmin 3

I still want a setting to remove 3 type limit having all colors out together in a cave for a family photo would be so satisfying

Nice finds, great video. I would love Pikmin 4 DLC, and tbh just having the overworlds remixed would be a blast (a la Pikmin 1 challenge mode, or even Pikmin 2's areas).

I've always thought that if pikmin 4 got DLC, a cool idea would be a new campaign following Louie on the planet, in the same style as shipwreck tale. This time, enemies are the main collectible and the objective is to fill out the piklopedia/cookbook. It would have caves, feature all types except for the 3 primary colors and remixed version of the Giant's Hearth and Primordial Thicket.

I think it's guaranteed we'll get dlc only a question of getting it here or the next console

They could also add Alph, Brittany and Charlie to the DLC.

If they give us dlc i would like a cave editor so we can tight as many enemies or gather as much treasure as we want. If they gonna be cheap and give a harder difficulty then at least make the overworld enemies and bosses respawn with a recollect treasure feature that could give us more replay ability.

honestly i dont even remotely care what it is, i just want MORE pikmin, i crave it, i literally just started another playthrough today, and the game has been selling so extremely well in japan i cant imagine they wont capitalize on that ... that being said, i really do want a bunch of accessibility options, as well as other options in general. plus enemy respawn on the surface.

A new difficulty like ultra bItter mode remixing the game would be absolutely insane and not likely but what about some of the old areas from pikmin 1 / 2 for example maybe you could unlock the Perplexing Pool from pikmin 2 and after beating that you could unlock a super secret boss in the og landing site with 2 caves and a couple new night missions after landing there for the first time (1 more in the Primordial Thicket 1 More in the one with the big burner 3 in the Perplexing Pool and 1 in the Landing site) I think this would be a Nintendo thing to do and maybe just like captain toad treasure tracker for free new option settings an online mode for dandori battles and throw in the Garden of hope from pikmin 3 as a new map why not

I was really disappointed when it wasn’t in pikmin 4's base game (throwing pebbles doesn’t count). I technically finished the game already (Ok I have like a couple Dandori challenges left… close enough). So really anything extra to have me play the game again I will buy. I would love bingo battle to be added in a dlc. I know we have Danduri battles but it would be so fun to play that in Pikmin 4

I had an Idea for DLC I call It: Secret of the Sacred Wilds The Plot is Simple Louie wakes up one night and sees something Odd feeling Curious he jumps on Moss's back and rides off the next Morning Shepard and the others see Louie is gone.....Again and of course Task you with Wrangling him back in but this time however Olimar decides to Tag along with you not wanting you and Oatchi to do this alone and so following the tracking chip in Louies suit the three find him in a new undiscovered location Olimar Dubs the Sacred Wilds (Really it's just a Greenhouse) after finding an Unconscious Louie and waking him up he informs Olimar and the Player of Moss being taken by a *Strange Golden thing* (that ALONE should tell you who it is we're dealing with) and it taking Her to the far end of the Wilds Wanting to Save Moss Olimar and the Player Forc...I mean Ask Louie to help them finally giving people the 4 playable Captains they've been wanting the Area has a grand total of 9 brand new Caves (8 main and the 9th final one) each with either new enemies or returning ones (Some new ones include the Clockwork Bulborb a Metallic like Bulborb that co ducts electricity to beat it one must use the lighting shock to stun it) The Caves of the Sacred Wilds 1: Viewpoint Cavern (Here you discover a Spotty Onion that when given a creature can create Bulbmin) 2: Behemoth Throne Room (The titan Dweevil returns here) 3: Enigmatic Reservoir 4: Toxicity Gorge (Mushroom Pikmin return here as their Caps allow them to glide through the air when thrown and they're the only pikmin immune to gloom) 5: Darkened Tomb 6: Stellar Badlands 7: The Precipice Cistern 8: Iron Gauntlet 9: The Foreboding Elm So Tell me what you all think

I just want bulbmin in the dlc.

With all the website activity, it seems like a no-brainer that they're cooking. I could only ask for a level editor so I can play the game forever. Everything else is finite content 😅

There are actually three separate settings to Pikmin Garden! There's also an afternoon one, although I don't remember how you get any of the three, maybe just refreshing it at random? About the main theme of the video, I honestly don't know. I feel like the perfect time would've been on the last Direct, but *maybe* Nintendo has something stored if they feel confident in Pikmin 4 winning an Award. Honestly, Pikmin 4 has the potential to be the best game in the series, but there's three main gripes which are so obvious and easy to fix: no enemy respawn on main areas, forced auto-aim, and the fact that unlocking swarming is extremely convoluted and you'll usually get it *after* a playthrough if you don't use a guide right from the get-go. An update to address these would be much welcome.

Five words: Winter Area and Orange Pikmin (to complete the Pikrainbow)
