I’m only doing this for the pluck whistle, since the third sage leaf trial is hell without it. Edit: 3rd trial is doable without it, I did it. Really challenging but possible. The most important thing to do is throw a single pikmin into the tunnel early so you don’t spend ages digging later. Also try and use oatchi to carry stuff.
Damn. Got through the game and got the Purple Pod and 100 purple pikmin gold bar and never knew that lol. That actually probably makes things hugely easier in parts though to be fair one is using a lot of spicy spray by the end of the game anyway lol
@@johnathansanders3964 Winged do have much worse pathing than 3 however they still generally are faster with water + terrain shortcuts than whites which still are pretty slow compared to like Pikmin 2
there's a way more effective method that doesn't waste an entire day for just 60. Start by getting 100% in the Crackling Cauldron. Revisit the cave, sjipping to sub level 2. Kill the enemy guarding the second base location and switch bases, then run into the green, mossy or grassy area in the corner of that room. An Iridescent Flint Beetle will spawn. Just throw Pikmin at it in a steady stream, bonking it three times. This produces a total of 20 material, and you do this in cave time. Collect that mats and return to the surface with the menu option, then rinse and repeat. All caves repopulate once you have 100 percent cleared them, so you can do this dozens of time in a sibgle day and earn all the mats you need.
Similar to this, i also found it useful to grind on the smoky progg in cavern for a king sublevel 10, i just use 100 purples and destroy the egg before it hatches. Idk whiches is faster though
It’s actually easier to do this in the Kingdom of Beasts in the second level. Go to sub level 5, travel forward until you see the rock Pikmin hitting the red and black bulborb (? Forgot what it’s called lol) and just pummel it with rock Pikmin, very easy. Then go past that into the pot, find the beetle, pummel it with more rock Pikmin, and have them take it back to the drone. This is easier because it isn’t so far, it’s actually very close to the place where you enter, and it’s easy to defeat the enemy.
@@laymantime I mean, I kill the fire-cake, or whatever it's called, by pushing the charge button with 50+ red Pikmin. It dies long before it can crush any Pikmin, and you have lots of time to whistle them to safety. The entire process is like 20 seconds plus loading times. I can't imagine killing a spotty bulbear would be easier, unless it's just a baby.
I also would recommend that when you’re done with the path go to hectic hollows cave and keep going to its 2nd sub level over and over again. The Tusked Blowhog miniboss dies easy and drops 5 shards every time
A good idea is to switch where you put your base, using the same strategy as the video, only when you make it to the end, put the base there. End day, start new day, run the reverse, move base to original start, end day, repeat,to keep from getting bored
i'm currently stuck on crowded kitchen, no matter what i do i'm always one treasure behind, the rest of the stories i all got bronze medals on, the time crunch makes it impossible to do anything
I always send 5&5 blue pikmin to the berrys in the beginning ( and pick in a continuous loop ) untill time to leave . // P.S : has anyone found out what tunes the pikmin hum ? ?
Here is little suggestion: for the last 20 ores, switch to the base near the last 2 holes so they get delivered faster. Drop kick the captain back to the original base so you can start from the origin. I discovered that while playing.
So…. Who else spent all their dough on bombs and explosives and needs to farm now to get the pluck whistle to make things easier at the end of the game to get the white and purple onions lol? 😂
I've been fighting Groovy Long Legs for pieces.. he drops up to 15 or 18 pieces PER DEATH. Since he always respawns.. it helps. Also you can re-flower the pikmin he shakes off.. so it helps completing that "Bloom The World" side quest alot.. since its a repeating quest... [Edit] speaking of that Bloom the World quest... Glow pikmin actually LOSE their flowers after a glowmob.. so technically you can use Spicy Spray to add-up the flowers everytime you use a glowmob.. ...i actually got 300 flowers in one night thanks to this technique
there's a way to cheese groovy: rock pikmin since groovy doesnt have its weak spot as high as others, rock pikmin can hit it, and since they cant be crushed, well, you'll only have to worry about you and oatchi's health.
