Using our Peterbilt 337 rollback with Miller Industries, Century LCG12 to recover and tow a pickup truck that ran into a utility pole, broke the pole, bounced off, and then ran into a building. Thanks for watching and God bless.

The recovery seemed easier than usual. Granted, no traffic, and the ARC enemy dead on arrival did not hurt :grin:

I truly love how much respect and consideration you get from the police department. They don't hesitate to say they will shut down the road for your safety. Even though it is obviously a small town with very little traffic they care about you and that is the way I wish all people treated everyone.

Did he say he crashed because he had the Flu ? I will still never get over the fact that Trigonometry is used to load a wrecked vehicle onto a flat bed... but without knowledge of angles... It would be harder to do .. I thought Trigonometry was something that maths teachers taught just to fill in time.. Now I realize its handy for recovering a wreck.

It is. This is the part of town that some of us still refer to as Illmo. Which was named after the railroad depot right by the overpass. It is for the Illinois-Missouri crossing over the Mississippi River....shortened term was Ill-Mo depot, thus the town of Illmo Thanks for watching and God bless.

Is a car into a building unique there? It seems like a frequent occurrence here in Lancaster County PA. Mostly elderly people who don't realize they're in Drive when they want to reverse - or vice-versa. Or they mix up the pedals and hit the gas instead of brake. Luckily they don't usually result in any serious injuries.

QuickPick! Nicely done, as usual .. The breaking-glass sound effect startled me!! You are LUCKY that the door lock remote functions, at all, when the key is in the ignition. My Ford Focus remote does not function at all when the key is turned in the ignition, which means, if I leave the engine running at the convenience store for example, I cannot lock the doors with the remote while I step inside, and unlock when I get back . . . . which, for the record, is why I bought a remote for the car in the first place :/

Had to get up early to get my fix of "Pratt Falls". Another nice job Ron. Noticed you are tying down with chains the last few times you used the rollback instead of straps. Any reason for that?
@RonPratt
@RonPratt 4 года назад
Yes, any time I think the vehicle is going to be a total loss, it is often easier and quicker to use chains. Now that we are at war with this virus, we have changed the way we do things. We now longer go inside a vehicle, if we can possibly keep from it. We drag it on the bed, chain it down and go. Then the reverse when we unload.....unchain and either shake or drag it off... no going inside to take out of park or release the brakes. We still try to use the same amount of care not to damage anything on any of the vehicles, especially if they aren't damaged already. However, we have to take extra safety precautions. We also are limiting "riders". Thanks for watching and God bless.

Glad the driver was ok I'm sorry he had a medical condition that caused the wreck, but glad they weren't injured in the accident. It was nice of (I'm presuming Scott City) PD to just close the road for you. It wasn't that busy yet so.... hey you kind of needed the room to load it properly any way. Yes there was other ways to do it, butif they (pd) are going to give you the whole road why not usilize it. Those city streets aren't that wide anyway just enough room for 2 cars to pass & thats about it.
