Hi Yall, little announcement: I've been taking a somewhat extended break from streaming so I can focus on some big RU-vid projects. My videos are my bread and butter, I need to give them the time and attention they require. For now I'll stream when I feel like it, but less frequently and without a schedule. This isn't forever of course, i'll be back to stream 6.5 and Dawntrail as usual before you know it. This is not the end my sweet lil goblins, see u soon ♥
I hope they bring back the Venom and Poison aspects that Rogue/Ninja used to have especially with a name like Viper Also the person in the picture I believe is the person we saw at the end of the most recent patch (this is headcannon and not confirmed)
yeah, right now it just looks like a standard builder/spender, it needs poisons to add some more spice. Perhaps it might work like the insect glaive in monster hunter where attacking different areas of the monster (front/flank/back) with the split blades collects reagents that then combine into poisons when the handles are connected?
Personally i like that they really cut to the chase with these presentations. Most videogame presentations always feel so corporate. CBU3 just shows what they got and that shows confidence imo.
@@ArchieGamez yeah the CEO thing and Xbox/Microsoft thing. Glad they're getting the game too. But between that and the CEO it really started drag and you could see it with the crowd and streamers.
My first reaction was that Ninja is the rogue that watched too much Naruto, while the Viper is the rogue that played just a little bit too much AC:Blackflag, and I still stand by that.
@@cyanmage1 Dimachaerus were a type of Roman gladiator that fought with two swords. The use of weapon combinations in each hand has been mentioned for close combat in western Europe during the Byzantine, Medieval, and Renaissance era. The use of a parrying dagger such as a main gauche along with a rapier is common in historical European martial arts. North American Indian tribes of the Atlantic northeast used a form involving a tomahawk in the primary hand and a knife in the secondary. It is practiced today as part of the modern Cree martial art Okichitaw. Found all this and more in 5s googling.
2:22 At first I thought it was weird that they extended Estinien's scene in the trailer, then I realized that this was the perfect place to put the debut of the second new job class. Here's hoping that it'll be Krile that steps up to assist Estinien here showing off the new class, since Yoshi-P did say that she gets to play a bigger role in the new expansion. It's honestly either gonna be her, or the fem Hroth, but I seriously hope that it's the former. I guesll we'll just have to wait and see when the final Dawntrail trailer gets released during the JP Fanfest.
With new limited job I think its likely we get Krile on that instead. I hope she is the new caster but now I'm worried because people speculated Krile on beastmaster before.
I agree. They are surrounded by vegetation and I am fairly convinced whatever the new job is it will summon vines of some sort or use jungle nature somehow. It could also be a water-based job too given that they are in water as well.
Pint stopped showing up in my feed for months, I was watching the vods on twitch for awhile and they used to show up here too but nevertheless I am glad to see him again. Pint is so wholesome and I wish timezones worked out so I could've watch fanfest live when he watched it.
I would love for the two weapons to use the same hotkeys, the way sage uses Eukresia. So you could change the weapon at any point and double up on actions but leave the hotbar from bloating.
That would be super cool, but I have a feeling it's going to feel more in line with reaper's enshroud or dragoon's life of the dragon--just a high powered temporary burst phase. I really do hope I'm wrong though!
btw Kate is the current Koji Fox for FFXIV...Koji became her supervisor when he started working on FFXVI. She's been the english localization manager I think since stormblood.
Actually, i would not be surprised if they are keeping the female Hrothgar for a later reveal. Its a stretch, but the later zone they show has a definite Wild West feel and the Hrothgar have firearms, Gunbreaker was created by them. And are originally from Tural in a first place. So we are gonna get gunslinging Wild West Fem Hrothgars.
Zidane wielded a double sword on FFIX, and he was part of a pirate crew. so the cosair guess was as close to correct as you can be with something as random as Viper.
Pirates are thieves, and engaged in things like, say, kidnapping a princess from the castle. And how were Tantalus dressed? Remember? Bandanas, cutlasses, leather vests and a captain the roared with laughter every time he would beat up a member of his crew. They even flew a damn airship! Pirates.
sad part is even thought i have been playing this game for 10 years I never noticed we didn't have them till preach mentioned it now I want them so bad
My take for the mage class is alphi is gonna be the class not krile. Zenos in ew trailer was hidden till reaper was announced alphi is hidden on DT teaser and people think krile is new job but iirc its said shes not strong enough to fight.shb story confirmed alphi is a good artist so it's that kind of job and he is using it on the trailer. That's how I see it.also t t-shirt tmnt all named after artistic historic figures
@@DeepbloodFang if you watch the demonstration it looks like the viper did a 1-2-3 with it's swords separate, then an attack that combined the sword and left them that way for more normal GCDs, then went into a state with a blue aura with fast attacks that's more like a burst. The glowing burst state separated the swords again rather than leaving them together, so the combined swords arent part of that
If you're interested in seeing more about FFXI and it's lore - I have a small series about the game and it's story in 2023. ✌️😊✨ (Which may or may not have been inspired by your FF14 videos @pint) 👀❗
Think fem hrothgar is 6.55 and will be shown at tokyo fanfest. My guess is that the female voice we hear in the trailer is a fem hrothgar. And they will be shown in the full trailer in tokyo, along with the 2nd job.
Honestly I expected the starting class to be Rouge since Viper play style is that akin to the other front lining assassin while ninja is than of a back line assassin
Idk the viper class look extremely basic, it looks like they were extremely lazy with creating that class. I'd stick with ninja with it's cool chakras.
We only saw a few abilities, so I think it's hard to say. But I personally would enjoy a sword job that focuses more on the swords than Ninja, which has gotten more magical over time. Even if it looked a bit more basic
you know whats really dumb...when yoshi is like "guess trrhe class, oohhhh tell me what you think itt is!" but you can't...because its an original class...that nobody wanted haha
