Hi good day , I just got a djm 450 . However i am a little upset over the isolator mode. It seems the freq kills on individual low , mid or high knobs are not that great. To get the total kills , I have to turn down all 3 knobs , which is really strange. Or am I having a defective set?

Couldn't the send/return act as a sort of 5th channel, considering there is a knob for it?

Not really as it's linked to the beat effects section, and he is already using that as the "sampler" with the roll function. But would be a better (more like an actual extra source) option than the roll effect.

Is it really? If you play something from the iPad, wouldn't that play straight through to the master volume. Just as you can send sound to the device and affect it before returning it to the master, it should be possible to just play (return) an original sound from it as well. I have the 900NXS2, but no i-device to test it with. Anyone done that?

You could do exactly as you say. Rather than the roll function. But it still doesn't make a "fifth" channel as you are then unable to use the roll function that he is using as the "fourth" source, so still 4 sources. But yes, I guess that does make it a genuine 4 sources.

No its not really a 4channel mixer... You CAN play audio from 4 different sources, but you'll still only have two channels and two sets of eq's and two faders.
