BRAVO !!!!
Głos Piotra przenikliwie cudownie przeszywa serce i uskrzydla duszę. Niesamowita głębia, cudownie dźwięczny, ciepły głos. Utopiłam wszystkie swoje zmysły ... odbieram tak wydobyte dźwięki całym swoim ciałem. Przepiękne uczucie. Słucham wiele muzyki, głównie rockowej i niewiele głosów zachwyca mnie, ale tu operowy Mont Everest wokalny ... aż mnie onieśmiela. Dziękuję. Monika :)
Good Lord, besides a "picture-perfect" of an "updated" Rodolfo (to me), I found this one interpretation & vocal rendition of that exquisite aria a 💎. For heavens' sake I mean.
This aria always breaks my heart. And I'm so impressed with Piotr's easyness to sing... like he's just taking instead of singing a really difficult piece.
Listen to the Caruso recording of Che Gelida on RU-vid. While the quality of the early 20th century recording is mediocre, he was the best example of what you mention (talking instead of singing). This guy isn't even in the same league. There's a reason why Domingo said that Caruso was the greatest tenor of the 20th century!
@@patriotted001 Apart from the quality of the recording, Caruso is indeed an outstanding tenor. But Piotr Beczała deserves great recognition - a beautiful, warm, sonorous voice. History will judge his outstandingness, but it already deserves great attention and recognition. Best regards.
Excellent. He isExcellent. He is intelligent enough and does not sing heavier parts. Comparison of lyric tenors with dramatic voices, like Corelli lacks any sense. Mr. Bezcala is the top-class lyric tenor.
I tend to differ with mostly everyone here. To me (and it is just an opinion) the regisseur gave it an innovative twist to the story, and gets more out of the characters without changing the essence (even though Rodolfo felt her hand was cold before touching it!). The singing, very good (with a bit of a shaky start).
I totally agree Mr Konya, these settings have no relation with the original ideas of the composer & lyric writer, only these modern directors who want to create a name for themselves do this,in my opinion they are PHILISTINES to be avoided by the Opera loving world.Rene
It's a shame they couldn't do the opera and the singers justice with good staging. Classics like this, with a historical context, should be kept authentic and attractive. Why do directors constantly feel the need to give the audience a harsh shove into reality with ugly, 'modern' staging? Surely opera is supposed to provide a sanctuary.
I agree. He should have held back more and used more variety in his performance. Puccini is not a composer who demands huge volume and power. Good voice but he needs to be careful or risk damaging it.
I love this production! The sets are imaginative, and portraying Mimi as a goth and "the boys" as hipsters works well within Puccini's story. And Netrebko puts way more depth into Mimi than most sopranos do. I've seen numerous "traditional" productions of La Boheme and have enjoyed most, but it's nice to see something fresh and creative too.
Hope that dam “Musiktheater” staging is gone in my live time No connection to lyrical text or emotion Do you really believe that anyone looking like that would ever ever ever talk these lyrics or in such a poetic frasing..... Thats why I do not go to Opera I buy “ pirate recordings” and enjoy
Jajajajja.
Hahaha, yes i agree. Beczala is a good singer, butt the staging is not very appropriate for the opera. I have noticed more and more that opera productions are being modernized, and i don’t really like it. I have yet to see a modernized production that i like. But anyways, Beczala is impressive.
@@operalover3966 if singer has a problem with vibrato he always do wobble. By women, like netrebko, it sounds so annoying, i just can't imagine how singers listen her, without dying in concerts...
@Robert Lee, Countertenor Serious question? Because he, like any singer in a production, is following instructions from the conductor/director. That's what rehearsals are there for....
