Welcome to DDQ! Dads drinkin and queing! Today I am reviewing the Pitboss Austin XL. Stay tuned for more reviews like these and tips and tricks for this and other grills/smokers.
Liked the video. Had my XL for a year now. But like you said, you got to learn the little tricks to operating it. Not like my old barrel charcoal pit. The XL will definitely make some good groceries. Keep the videos coming cause I just subscribed.
Can’t say no when the kid tells ya to do something lol. Nice detailed review, hopefully I can get one of these sooner rather than later. Liked and subbed. 👍🏻
The p setting is only applicable if you are on the smoke setting. The p setting adjusts the auger timer. p0 will get you a temp around 250°, p4 will get you around 215, and p7 will get you 170 to 180. The p setting does nothing if you are on a setting other than smoke.
Subscribed. The intro and outro with your awesome daughter was worth the subscribe alone. Look forward to more content. Much respect from one Dad to another!
I appreciate the video. I made the exact same graduation just recently. I have been using the "old faithful" char griller combo just as you have for many many years. I just purchased the Austin XL. The XL definitely went together more painless than the combo LMAO. I pretty much supervised and was an extra hand as my 15 year old son assembled the grill. My first pellet stove and have only finished the burn off....will be cooking for the first time this weekend. Cheers buddy.
Thanks for the review. I just got this grill yesterday. I put it together today and plan to do a start up/burn in tomorrow. Hey, I've heard that if you put some heavy duty aluminum foil on the grill grate under the thermometer on the left, you'll get a more accurate reading. For what it's worth. Hey man your daughter is adorable. Thanks again for the review.
Just bought Austin XL at Wal-Mart for 397.👍👍 finished of pork but for the last 4 hours. Then did ribs. Rips don't have a good smoke taste. Ribs where done on p3. Going to have to play with p settings. Ribs did come out tender.
