Great video,s I have just purchased a version II of this optical snoot but do you have any tips on the gel placement because even with my modelling lamp turned down low i have managed to almost melt one of the gels that came in its kit 😁 many thanks in advance
Was it an actual "proper" gel by someone like Rosco or Lee? Also is it a tungsten modelling lamp or an LED one? A tungsten bulb is going to generate a lot more heat. Another option (and I think the way they want you to do it) is to put the gel in front of the lens rather than near the light source.
