I hope to see a sequel to this one day, maybe with Ember and Wade getting married and having a steam element kid, the first mixed element child in existence. That has so much story potential
@katiemeaney2411

You know, if Elemental ever did make a squeal where Ember and Wade have a child, instead of making the child all steam, why not make him or her a hybrid element. Fire and water fused together into one body 🔥👶💦

I love this movie so much. The animation on the fire, water, and air people is revolutionary, the powers and abilities they have are are very creative, I love how they created an entire fake language for the fire people, the music is awesome, and I like the arc Ember goes through.
@FireBowProductions
@FireBowProductions 5 месяцев назад
I honestly think how they got to this point in animation is primarily because of Brave. They had to figure out how to animate the Wisps like they did and I feel like this was built up from that.

This movie has one of the best comeback stories for any film I have seen in a long time, and im so glad. This film has so much heart and passion with beautiful animation as always from Pixar; I dont know why people doubted Pixar in the first place to be honest. Legit a new top 10 Pixar Movie for me.

Well, those people are stupid for hating on this film, This was a beautiful movie, seeing different Elements come together in one of most beautiful cities in Pixar's history was a great experience, and showing us the true meaning of love between two different types of elements is something i want in a relationship.

The big bow at the end made me BAWL. IDK if I was just projecting, but the fire people gave me serious middle eastern/south Asian vibes, and I felt SO SEEN. I wasnt a huge fan of the final act, but this movie was so good.

I love this movie so much.❤ That the lead characters love didn't just magically solve all prejudice in the city in the end, because that doesn't happen, really speaks to the writing. It's all about navigating that kind of world and putting out as much good as you can hoping even just a bit of it spreads. Beautiful.

I love this movie!!! It started off as a box office flop, opening with just $29.5 million. Now, about a month and a half later, it’s at $444 million. It definitely needs more to “break even,” but what happened?! Don’t get me wrong, I’m very happy about it, but how did this movie that started as a flop now become the highest grossing Disney animated movie since Frozen 2? I guess that’s not saying much, but I’m just glad this movie is finally getting recognized.

I feel like it started getting attention when people started calling it "woke," which kinda blows my mind. I mean, what did those people want? For her to realize that fire and water can never mix? That she and Wade can never be together? What a sad world such people want.

When I watched this movie I expected what I guess most people expected when they looked at the face value of the movie, and that the mid-tier reviews and low box office would affirm a middle quality movie in a period of animation where it's either great or it 'only looks good', a shallow attempt to recapture the worldbuilding elements of Zootopia but with elemental beings instead. But boy, was I wrong. This is a lovely little movie that deserves a lot more eyes on it, with an authentic and beautiful romance fitted in a story of a daughter of an immigrant settler torn between wanting to excel and wanting to ensure that her parents' hardship is rewarded in the success of her shop. Plus it perfectly captures the tenth circle of hell that is working in retail. The characters are well done too, being both a little subversive and a little cliché but it balances well, Wade is genuine and kind but unwittingly privileged while Ember is grounded and creative but conflicted. I will say that the conflict with the broken dam is really more a problem that the governing body should've fixed rather than Ember herself, especially since the water shouldn't have been there in the first place and it could've murdered the entire town that hold's Elemental City's entire demographic of fire people and its culture with it, but it's a minor qualm to a sweet film as a whole, and that fakeout death did get me. I also appreciate how they made an entire authentic language for fire people, it has its own writing system too.

I love this movie so much! Wade and Ember are such a cute couple. 🔥❤️💧 I was really upset when it didn't do well opening weekend, but now I'm surprised and happy that it's doing better. Although, I'm a little upset that it's probably not gonna win the Oscar because of stupid Spider-Verse (no offense).

it took me a minute to understand why people are calling this movie a flop: it's not the poor performance at the theaters, it's because it has no definite evil to fight. it's a self-discovery story, not a combative struggle.... and that's a huge problem that needs to be addressed going forward: people needing to be told whom to hate and whom to side with.

Really loved your end commentary on the film. I've been obsessing over this movie and watching a bunch of different creators react to Elemental. I found that not a lot of them touch on your interpretation of the film's message, the similarities within marginalized communities of their world and ours, and the challenges faced by immigrants who are pushed into impoverished districts, where the city's neglect to maintain infrastructure in less influential neighborhoods leads to extensive destruction and hardships for those essentially forced to reside there. I'm very glad you voiced your thoughts and I look forward to your next video! Also Wade is best boi 🔥❤️‍🔥🌊

Elemental is unfortunately too similar to Zootopia for me to love it. Idk the entire idea of all elements living together except one (like predators being despised). They're stuck with certain stereotypes like the fire ppl only hurting others and blowing up easily (or predators being liars). It's also the connection to racism as f. e. the water guys family compliments the fire girl for being able to speak normally even though she's just like them (same as Foxes being expected to be uneducated). Both get proven right in their introduction but get redeemed when they meet main character no. 2. Despite them being the complete opposite they eventually make up. They even have the slow receptionist too💀 I do like that our water guy is very emotional compared to the fox guy bc as we all know men still can't do that without being laughed at. The visuals are also absolute INSANEEEE. The main conflict and resolution is ofc very different too. But yeah idk it's just Pixar going we're taking this thing that usually doesn't talk and make it talk.

The reviews of this movie are so unfair and unjustified. I remember one saying it was "afraid of it's own theme." This is so not true. This movie is a commentary on racial stalemate. Separate but equal. Each their own drinking fountain. The walls we put up for no other reason than the people from yesterday told us to.
