This is definitely something you will both need to decide yourselves. As a NACRA 17 amateur sailor myself, I have really enjoyed watching your videos, and hope you keep making them. However, I can not imagine how hard it must be to compete at that level, and without outside support. At some point you will know when it is not worth staying in the NACRA 17 racing circuit. If you do decide to buy a traditional sailboat, I will look forward to your videos detailing your new adventures.

Whatever you decide, I hope one day you visit us in the Algarve. We are starting with the F18. If possible, we would like to see you sailing when you're around again. I hope that we can learn from you. Good luck!!

Thank you so much. I think we will continue catamaran sailing, but not with the ambition to compete at the games. I lost 10 kg of body fat since last time we sailed the Nacra, so now we are 20kg under the optimal crew weight. Lets see if we still can sail the boat... Always have fun sailing the F18, it's a great boat and very fast. Which F18 have you got?

zuerst einmal, Gratulation zum Video, Barbara 😎 Frisur! Ich denke, dass euch da niemand bei eurer Entscheidung helfen kann, nur nichts überstürzen, das Passende passiert manchmal einfach, lasst auch euren "Bauch" entscheiden 😀

Uns hat es schon sehr geholfen das Thema in ein Video zu fassen. Am Ende müssen wir uns eh entscheiden aber alle Lösungen haben ihre schönen Seiten und wir haben halt schon so viel ins sportliche Segeln gesteckt. Jetzt kommen wir sportlich gesehen endlich an den Punkt wo wir mithalten können und dann hören wir auf...? Momentan deutet vieles auf eine Kombination von 3 und ... hin. Danke für deinen Kommentar!

Natürlich erinnere ich mich an dich. Hast du geplant dieses Jahr am Gardasee zu segeln? Um ehrlich zu sein ist die soziale Komponente ein Punkt warum uns das große Schiff so reizt. Da kann man endlich wieder etwas mit anderen unternehmen. Also wenn wir diese Option umsetzen bist du herzlich willkommen und du darfst gerne mit anpacken 💪

Wenn, also wenn 😉 dann Mono. Holz, zwei Masten, Gaffelsegel und irgendwo zwischen 20 und 24m Länge... Der Bootstyp der mir sehr gut gefällt nennt sich Haikutter oder Danish Ketch. Ist zwar nicht ganz so elegant wie ein Hereshoff Schooner aber den kann ich mir eh nicht leisten.
