Planer Stand DIY on Casters or a rolling tool cart. Made for the Dewalt DW735 Thickness Planar (Thicknesser), but easily adaptable to most any bench top tool. This mobile tool cart uses swivel locking casters and standard 2 x 4 lumber for a fairly simple and inexpensive Thickness Planer stand for the DW735. Lap joints make for a very strong stand, and are cut using a dado blade set.
The stand is particularly great for people with small workshops or garages like myself, where space is at a premium.

When you "squared-up" the glued 2x4 legs, did you trim them down to actual 3"x3"? Beautiful Stand - I am going to attempt to recreate one for my own DW735!

Nice build! That's so strong, I'd be it could support a locomotive! I built an archaic one similar to this for my thickness planer. 100% 3/4" plywood, 100% glue. Still holdingt together after 3 yrs.

Hey man, I loved this build. And I absolutely loved the finish. Contrasting colors are my jam. Im going to probably recreate this for my 735, or a version of it. Since I'm pretty tall, I'd like mine a little taller and wider, but I had a question. After a year of use, is it still working well? And was the top level? At the end there it looked like the planer wobbled a little? Either way, you do great work, and I'm going to go watch some more of your videos now.

Thanks, working perfectly still, I’m 6 feet tall, I made mine about 2 inches shorter than my perfect height, so I could fit it under a bench in my garage. I’ll be using it in an upcoming video, fairly soon, Thanks for Watching! 😊

Be sure and do that when you make a video. You could just turn the sound off...
