I know these videos aren’t new but I just want to say I was having doubt about joining a gym because I didn’t want to ask anyone questions after watching about 9 of your videos I feel better and now understand and know they have what I’m searching for. Thanks for having these videos up
He brought up the single best maneuver and that's hitting it with the one-armed. I get it as tired as I can with the two arms for two sets and then switch to one arm for two sets. That one-armed pump on that machine feels pretty amazing
I just joined Planet Fitness and I love this machine because I pulled a muscle in my biceps three weeks ago and even had to go to the ER for it. This lets me switch back and forth between weight and do each arm independently so I can get some exercise while letting my right arm heal.
I tried this one for the first time today and maybe I wasn’t high enough because those pads kept moving and it was super awkward and I didn’t understand why they would move so much. Biceps are my least favorite exercises.. my wrists are so bad and I just struggle with any bicep movement. Next time I’ll try to go a bit higher on the seat?
Maybe this is a dumb question, but anyway... When you do a one arm curl with this machine does it somehow assist or half the weight or something? I set it to 70 pounds and was able to one arm curls, but i really don't think i can do 70 pound curls. I usually use about a 35 dumbbell in each arm, which is why i set to 70 as i started with both arms. Then i just one but forgot to change the weight and noticed after.
Yeah, I had a similar question. I wasn't sure if it was the workout environment that made me willing and able to go further (kind of like adrenaline) than at home or maybe because I was sitting down in a supported chair, but it feels like they're half the weight.
You need to make sure that your arms are square and you're not leaning. I mean either way you're still working out but when you're leaving you're gonna feel more of a burn in your tris instead of bicepts
Yeah, I do 170 on one arm each but I think it's just cheating because of the leaning. I'm gonna start going back down to 130 or so so I can do both properly
Is this how people feel about me after I use the machines I use the bicep curl machine for the max 230 I use the seated rows for 230 and I use the lay pull down machines for 160 it’s not a lot but I’m working on it😂
Why is your subtitle automatic Portuguese? I am from Honolulu and the accent is not the same and English is my 2nd language. This is supposed to be understood globally.
that's the thing I hate about planet fatness. Their ugly purple machines and the fact that you have to where a long sleeve hoodie so you won't intimidate anyone with your manly physique.
Why? One thing about cables or any machine is the constant tension on the muscle. Free weights are great but at a portion of the arc of movement there is little stress applied to the muscle. Free weights are great due to using stabilizer muscles in the mix though.
I’ve tried this out twice and just takes a bit to get going. I’m better with the free weights. A lot of moving parts and makes you feel like you don’t have a good grip or aren’t doing it correctly.
If you're using the machine, and it's making you do something different from what you do with the free weights, I kind of think you're not doing the free weights with the proper form. Eh?
Cables are better than db’s when it comes to providing constant tension on your arms, db’s are great too, but once you reach certain angle, tension’s gone.
