It is one of my favorite positions, my main strat has a Seymour Duncan SLS-1 in the middle, such a killer tone.

Thank you! I wasn't planning on buying that one but last year around Christmas one came up on reverb extremely cheap and I couldn't resist. It's kind of my backup "strat" to my S2 that I use all the time.

Quite possibly the 498T and 490R pickups, or 57 Classics would be in a 2008 Standard. As for recommendations, if you want the closest thing to the R9 kind of thing I would recommend the 1959 Special set. If you're like me and like a tad more specialized set, I really dig the Bad Little Doggie in the bridge and the 78' Pasadena in the neck. It helps balance out the guitar and gives you a little extra umph for those Billy Gibbons moments :) Thanks!

Interesting that you mentioned that! I thought about doing a video where I kind of talked about the differences, pros and cons of my 3 PRS "strat" style guitars. They all have their strengths and shortcomings and I tend to use them for different things. I do find the EG easier to play than the Silver Sky because of the flatter radius and bigger frets, but it's not quite as "1960's strat" as the SS is. Thanks for the very nice compliments!

@@LucasFowler Sounds like a cool additional video idea if you decide to do it. I have a Strat, but never bonded with it. Have often thought a PRS SE with single coils might be more in my lane. Take care 🎸👍
