This is the first real video in a series demostrating one method of extracting all PI required to do fuel block manufacturing, on one character. In this one we explore a basic set up to extract T1 materials from a planet.
Very nice breakdown of how to setup PI. I have been interested in doing some PI but i need to get mysrlf into a wirmhole or nulsec corp right now i am almost fully trained into expolratiom because i love it but ive been thinking about a station trading alt and doing some PI as well. Anyway great info, big help! Im really enjoying the series!
I've seen a couple of creators say there's good isk to be made in high-sec PI, so it may be worth having a go, but for sure get yourself in to wormholes :D
@waddenderas7774 I really want to get into a wormhole Corp.. i am almost fully trained in exploring, and I have a Cheetha and a probe. I fly for exploration. I am torn because signal Corp sounds really cool, and you get to help people, but I'd like to learn PVP eventually, too. I just have to start mucking about and get on it.
@@smoore6461 The little I know about Signal Cartel, they are great. I'm a big fan of their wormhole rescue service. Definitely a good route to try out. Alternatively shoot me a message in game and I'll get you connected to one of our recruiters so you can see if we'd be a good fit
Some tips to make things easier: 1- one or two links over from the Products button for each facility, is a "Links" button. It shows each link attached to that facility. You can view the details of the link, but more importantly select the link itself in that screen. 2- For some steps, double-clicking can save mouse movement. For example, if I remember correctly, you can double-click on a schematic & it will drop you into the routing function. Double-click on the destination & it sets that up. Just have to hit Submit.
well done. I am struggling with this aspect the most. Routing has always been hit and miss for me. I have 4 planets and I have them all working *crossed fingers* But each one I have struggled for hours to get the routing done and even after 4, I still have no idea what I am doing with routing. I eventually want to get them all the same configuration. Right now I have extraction going into storage.... then from storage in two directions to separate processors then from there to the launch pad. I realize this seems second nature to you. But for me the routes have my mind boggled Especially when trying to add a second route (cause what you click on matters (the icon verses the text vs the line) Anyway saving this vid so I can reference it when I revamp my planets.
I just link everything one by one with one solid line. Imagine a single road going around. As long as they are linked to one other building in the chain you can move anything to and from anything. You don't need to link something to multiple things directly. Hopefully that makes sense. I'm making tier3 items now and should be changing up this week to produce t4. It was app very confusing at first so I just got it working and kept redoing it to be more efficient and better understand what was happening and what needed to happen. o7
@@brianchristopher8843 One of my corp members sat me down yesterday and took the painstaking explanation... and thank god because I had a misconception that made it FAR more complicated than it actually was... I was thinking I needed to do the in and out link between each node and not just between the source and eventual destination. I will be revamping my 4 sites when I get out of work today.
So if I understand correctly, you can have more than one player extracting from a planet? AND you don't need your own POCO at the planet? If both are the case, this opens up an area of EVE that I thought was closed to me. I should get skilling immediately!
