@@PohlBarnProductions I’ve seen other woodturners become covered-and I have no idea how you can still turn with it all draped over your face shield. (I think it was Moonpie Creations.) Resin shavings are like the herpes of the woodturning world.

Really diggin’ this piece. Looking at it from the lower angles to the bowl, the oak looks like being in a valley and looking to the night or day sky on the horizon. Very cool effects you pulled off.

I really like this one. The moment I saw the cross-sections of the planets, my brain filled in a title for it: The View from Up Here. Love how the red planet looks like a nova in the night sky over the desertscape, and the bright streaks in the dark seem to show either the atmosphere of the desert world or nebulae. Lovely work!

Love it! Can definitely see the "story" you've built into the piece. As for the glare, keep your solution in mind for the next time a piece frustrates you. Just use your solution for a minute, swap out the piece for something else, and say, "So not sure how much you saw during the anti-glare run, but here is where I'm at with this piece." Just kidding, of course; the glare is completely understandable and proves how well the various products you are putting on the resin work.

Living here in Washington, over on the dry side, we have a lot of White oak, what we call scrub oak. Trees can get pretty big, though you'd be hard pressed to find a straight limb or trunk over 6' long (and even that is a rarity). It's a fairly tight grain oak, acts like it's harder than Red oak. That piece turned out really well. No 'glaring' mistakes ;-)
