RRP's Advanced Tie Plate Inserter [ATPI] in action with a BNSF Railway tie replacement crew (4.2024).
The ATPI workhead lifts the rails and then centers the plate on the tie as it inserts it under the rail. This can be done for both sides of the tie simultaneously or for one side of the tie as needed.
