In this video series I'm trying to emulate and then teach You how to learn and play Dimebag's solos with the best of my knowledge. I'll also try to point out that You don't necessary need the same exact gear to do that. It is one thing to "play the right notes" but to "play them right"... You up for the challenge? Let's give it our best shot here;)

Thank you for all these lessons and covers, I just found your channel the other day but am a big fan already. You can tell how much time and effort you put into these videos, and your playing is flawless while making it look easy! My equivalent to your love of Dimebag is Jim Root from Slipknot and I've been covering their albums and doing lessons, you're a new inspiration for me to continue doing that.

Zseni, zseni, zseni.

@@AttilaVorosOfficial Thanks man. Will look for it. You got a fan here dude. I have been trying to play this solo for years and your lesson has helped me more than the previous 500 videos. It is all about the feeling, the pauses... devil lives in the details. Thanks man. I mean it.

That picking is so fast 3:00 and if slowed down even a bit kind of sounds off lol. Any tips on building speed? no idea how you can jump around strings while picking this fast ... i can maybe trem 1 string like this lol
@AttilaVorosOfficial
@AttilaVorosOfficial 2 года назад
I mean there's some key words that came up such as: A: dissect it into small pieces (make sure You always add the accented notes, usually downstroke if it starts with a downstroke but there's many exceptions) B: try to be as loose as possible C: You can use the metronome to build up speed, but there's a point in which You'll feel that there's still room for speed but it just hits some ceiling with the metronome.. to me that's the tempo where I would turn off the metronome and then keep going the following way: without metronome play the certain part twice in a row a bit slower than that "ceiling" tempo was, something that is very comfortable to You, and right away 3x as fast as You can. Of course add some rests in between and then repeat the whole thing. So twice slow and 2-3 times as fast as You can, this way You can practice understanding that movement and find synch inn between the two hands. hope it makes sense. Enjoy! \m/

@@AttilaVorosOfficial Thanks a lot man! I know it probably comes across that i'm looking for some "secret way" to be fast. I appreciate the in depth guidance! nice skills! \m/

I believe it had been 425D from VDOP till Reinventing The Steel - and live. I once read that CFH was tuned to 435, and that seems/sounds right to my ears - at least the songs I'v been playing. But I do most of these lessons in "standard" 440 tunings not only to make a point on how much it comes downd to the playing, but also to help others to practice over easier.
