This is day 226 of my journey to get to a rating of 2000 on chess.com.
Happy to play a few more games and do well, but I still managed to fully blunder both of them haha, eughhh, hopefully I can be more consistent soon!
We played a sicilian in the first game, a kind of hyper accelerated dragon, and in the second it was a fairly standard jobava london with the pansy a3 move!

The blunders in the first game were hilarious hahaha. Watching the analysis board as you played cracked me up. I wouldn't have known it was a blunder either, that was a cool line

Aahhaha what an unlucky blunder in the second game, as soon as you played Kh2 I thought “if he goes to h3 and the rook is opened up it’s mate” and it happened just next second 😂 awesome video

Always keep careful with playing Bg4 with a bishop on the a2-g8 diagonal! Even GM's forget about this fact sometimes.

Thanks so much brother! I was born in England, grew up in northern Ireland, went to highschool/college in the US, went to South Korea for five years and hung out with South Africans... Bit of a mumble jumble of many accents haha

You took 2 seconds to blunder mate in 1, with 3 minutes 9 seconds on the clock. If you take an extra second or two to do a blunder check you probably don't make that mistake.

Hey Owen! How are you doing in the U.S.A? Your chess content is helping me learn by watching your videos almost everyday. By the way, you made a typo for your title, "Playing Chess until I hit 2000: Day 225" instead of Day 226. When playing chess, always try to think and look for some tactics or strategies while your opponent is thinking, that way when it's your move, you have less time to think. I hope this helps.
