Maybe you played against low skilled madden 04 players. And the CPU is not going to abuse Vick 96 speed by design. Back in i think '07, i won a county wide madden tournament with Vick. Remember he was "92" overall with "96" speed or something like that with a beast running back and great o line
@macabree5856 well cpu vick works as practice. You need the right pieces. Fast spy. Blitz off 1 side with nickel corner. User contain the other with speed. Then its cat n mouse on if I rush or drop in coverage. You need to learn the user tendencies. But force them to play pocket QB. Most guys always tried to run backwards 40 yards and out run everyone and chuck it. Cb blitz from outside aswell. Not everyone is smart enough to find the holes in the zones or make a quick dump off
@@hughjazz17 I appreciate your comment. I was probably one of the non-smart ones. I was a kid during that madden '04 era so i didn't know much. Plus, society was so different compare to now. Even RU-vid wasn't invented yet when Madden 04 was released
@macabree5856 funny enough in 04 I was 16. But old enough to be a student of the game for 3 years at that point. Madden 03 was my first official madden. Played 02 at my cousins house. I still remember the jump to 05 with all the defensive upgrades. Cpu Ravens almost beat me. Won 7-3 lol. But those upgrades made playing def vs cheese even better and easier to defend with all the defensive hot routes. Basically if you were good on def in 04. 05 felt like cheating
Yea I notice the linebackers were getting faster and faster each Madden. In Madden 03 Ray lewis speed was like a 67 compared to 04 when it jumped to to like 83.
Madden 08 is probably the best in terms of features. Madden 2004 was great because Michael Vick was completely busted. But hey, everybody's got a different opinion and I respect yours.

After this year they added qb contain defense on the defense playbook Vick was way to tuff this year man brings back memories if a person new how to play with the falcons they definitely was hard to beat

Wait I know you most likely played against a friend or something but I do know a lot of games older games that like the newer consoles PS4s Xbox One X or whatever or even the so-called current gen PS5 and whatever the Xbox is called I say so-called because in my opinion if the majority of the public do not have the console it cannot be current gen that's just how I look at it so with the newer systems being able to put online back for like games older games like Mortal Kombat or games that came out on really older consoles like it makes me wonder now if sports games like Madden are able to be online?

they literally forgot to consider scrambling when they designed the defensive ai. and vick is on the fucking cover!! it’s understandable that you’d ban the falcons in competitive play. he straight up breaks the game lol
