I'm writing my email to the CMA. Letter writing is still a fairly big part of UK public discourse. As a UK consumer I want to know why they are actively blocking a deal that will get UK residents cheaper access to games like Call of Duty, especially at a time of significant financial struggle across the country.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Sony was creating a forum, where they create letter templates and encourage their player base to write to the CMA. Nothing is beyond them at this point.

Wouldn’t worry they are just stalling with silly excuses. The deal will go through as Microsoft have already argued every one of their points and they are unfounded. Microsoft would take them to court and it would get very expensive for the CMA with those arguments

Theres absolutely a point where a specific level of alcohol use that increases performance in (especially) shooters. But its incredibly hard to maintain that level of instinct without getting drunk-sloppy. Once you're in that zone nothing can stop you, but good luck drinking just enough to sustain it.

Wait.... I was on the Alpha ring of the Xbox Insiders program for a couple years. Then I kept noticing that all of the cool updates were going to the Alpha skip ahead ring, and I was jealous and kinda annoyed honestly. Then I finally got into the Alpha Skip Ahead ring about 6 months ago.... and now I hear Jez on here saying that the Discord update is only available on the Alpha Ring n not the Skip Ahead... WTH?? It seems to me that the average Sony fanboy isn't thinking the ABK deal through. If the deal goes through then MS will instantly level the playing field and Sony will have to compete. No more reaching into their customers pockets for 'remakes', half baked services and arbitrary price hikes. CoD's a lock, competition benefits customers, where's the downside? Unless you just like feeding the PS piggybank.

The idea that Nintendo is not part of the console market is the dumbest thing I've ever heard. They make a video game console. They make video games. Many adults including myself have the switch to play things like Breath of the Wild. Microsoft, Sony, and Nintendo are all in competition for you to spend your time on their platforms.

The Switch argument is ridiculous. Sega and Nintendo used to be the big 2, and then Sony decided to eat their lunch, killed Sega and put Nintendo on life support. Nintendo had to reinvent their CONSOLE twice (Wii, Switch) to get back in the game, and didn't complain to the CMA once. Sony just wants to rehash old shit, leave innovation/competition to everyone else, but still collect all the money. FYI - Switch was my only console last gen, because they make 'games' in the truest sense of the word. Xbox needs to take more pointers from them than Sony first party drear.

If starfield was 4K 30 I just wouldn’t play it till mid gen upgrades or next gen. If spiderman can do 60 and god of war can do 120 with its graphics starfield can have a 60 FPS mode

Yup give us dynamic 1440p 60 at least! No game should launch just with 30 fps. If starfield launches in 30 fps only mode, thats a huge L for xbox

The demo they showed looks more around 20 frames than 30. As long as it is optimized on PC and doesn’t require a 4090 to run at +150 frames unlike A Plague Tale Requiem I will play it day one.

Series s is holding shit back. Its a weaker console dude, put atleast you acknowledged that you arent a tech guy. When games start to really kick off the series s will be a third leg, unless this gen is just going to be completely cross gen with all games coming to the ps4 and xboxone which in itself would be a disaster. You realize that most games that come out on console and PC often have way lower requirements on PC than what the consoles are capable of right? As long as the Series S has an SSD and the same CPU as the XSX all devs need to do is set the graphics to a lower setting. No different than they would for an older GPU on PC. Gotham Knights which dropped PS4 and Xbox One support has requirements for a GTX 1660. A GPU from March 2019.

There, that's why I sold my PS5. When Sony gets serious with a Game Pass competitor I'll buy a PS5. A real competitor not the current service they have.
