Playstation Platinum Wireless Headset Unboxing, Setup, and Mic Test 

Loved the review, but I'll just stick to my Stealth 700's (I bought these because of you, best purchase I've ever done!). One of the best tech channels on YT, and very very underrated! My opinion about the Platinum: Idk what sony is doing with the mics on their headsets, but they need to stop what they're doing. For a headset from 150$ you'd at least expect a decent mic. I think the headset itself could be pretty good.

This video gave me more info about how the headset actually works than many of the bigger channels.

I got one and I'm happy with it, I'd prefer more pronounced buttons and I'm still getting used to figuring which does what without looking, but this is the headset that was actually made for your PS4, unlike many others I've tried (Logitech, steelseries Arctis 7, etc) I had turtle Beach stealth 400 before and the build quality was trash from the start but the sound quality was fine and it did what was important to me, separate game and chat volume. It started bugging out on me and I said I definitely wasn't getting another TB so I was trying out other wireless headsets to see if they can fit my needs even if they're really made for PC. They can't. This one can as it's made for the PS4, and even tho it doesn't advertise it enough it does have a game/chat balance where I can fully mute one or the other. Just mute master volume if I want to mute both. And I was concerned if I'd still be heard clearly without a boom mic in my face, my friends say they have no problem hearing me so all my fears about this headset were allayed. I only don't like that the mics are on the same side as the clicky buttons... Everybody doesn't need to hear me adjusting my volume.. This went on far longer than I should have on a RU-vid comment so now I'm just gonna copy and paste this as my review on Amazon and best buy 😅

I got these last Christmas but got another because the buttons on the headset would move and the mic on it is awful and it’ll echo and the headband digs into your head but it does have nice feeling earcups and great sound

Bought TWO BRAND NEW pairs of stealth 700s and both had audio cutting out and popping. Also 7.1 surround never worked, going with these, (plus they were 30 bucks of)

Hey I've just lent this off my brother but with no dongle. I plugged them in to my controller and started the last of us 2, went in to the games audio settings and its just treating them like normal 2.0 headphones. Is this cos they haven't been installed?
