“Of course I did. It’s you” -Penny when she was trying to be romantic to Leonard. They’re so perfect for each other and you’re right, a true, realistic portrayal of a couple.
This is not the only "real" moment. -What he said to Howard when his mom died was real as well. "When I lost my own father, I had no friends to help me through it. You do." -His Nobel Prize speech was also real. Admitting he hasn't been the friend he should have been, acknowledging Howard as "Astronaut Howard," saying Penny and Leonard's baby will be smart and beautiful. -When he hugged Leonard when grieving the death of Arthur Jefferies aka Professor Proton. -Going through the break up with Amy. I could keep going, but you get the idea.
I just love the sincerity of Sheldon when he says 'please don't hurt my friend.' Any moment he shows compassion towards someone else warms my heart. :)
I love him even more when he's caring. Like when Howard found out his mother died, I thought Sheldon was going to say something stupid, but he didn't, and that is so adorable!!!
Omg, this was so long ago. I was such a TBBT fangirl then. But the reason why I came back to this was because I wanted to know why tf people are liking this shitty ass comment XD
daniko LMAOOO YES ! And I Type Differently Now 😭 I’m Surprised This Comment Is Tame And Isn’t Making Me Cringe Because Now That I Think About It , I Can Still Remember Some Pretty Dumb Comments I Made Under Tbbt Videos Lol . Thanks For Bringing Me Back To A Nice , Fun Time In My Life That I Had Honestly Forgotten About :)
Who in their right mind would switch from green apple to coconut? I can see a quick fling while on an island vacation, but not in actual life. That’s just crazy.
The way he said "Penny" before his request seemed very powerful. The tone signaled that something of great importance and seriousness was about to be said and demanded to be heard. In a way he decided to drop the mask for the single purpose of defending and protecting his friend. The line that followed; "Please don't hurt my friend" moved me greatly. This episode centered on Sheldon knowing his friend was in danger and trying everything he could to protect him. I cried at this scene.
It's truly heartwarming to see how Sheldon slowly began to realize that he finally had people around him that cared about him. He came to realize that he cared about them too. A feeling I may not ever feel, which is what moves me the most.
Because she's promiscuous. Since she was a teen she's had so many boys. The concept of a long term and stable relationship leading to marriage and kids is strange and maybe even scary to her. That is why in real life, you never date a promiscuous woman or man. They're not wife/husband and mother/father material.
@@eternaleffect2499 no they don't. People are like water no matter how much you heat it it will cool down, which is its nature. Same are the people they may change for sometime but again, they return to their originality.
@@DhananjaySingh-px9fc sad truth in that as change is rare and requires something absurdly traumatic to stick & even then it is only that the fear of what ever the trauma was that may prevent certain actions. Much of who we are is set in our childhood/teens and finishes for the most part in our 20's you might find other interests or hobbies after that but the gist of who you are is fairly set.
I love how Sheldon really does care about Leonard and he can now say "please don't hurt my friend.." It shows he is getting less selfish because of Amy..
When Sheldon tells her that he doesn't like change, he's telling her that he knows that Leonard's pain is going to hurt Sheldon as well, because he knows he won't be able to help him emotionally.
No, I think that part was about him likeing Penny in their life. He got use to her, and now he already likes her, but if she broke up with Leonard again, that means, she maybe would dissapear from their life. That’s why he brought up her new shampoo. She is part of their little sistem now.
@@Lex77755agree, also my thoughts also is that Shelton does not allow many people to get know him in a personal way, if he does that, you are his friend forever and he would do anything for them. Even though he doesn't always show empathy or how much he loves them, it's little things that show, ie: if one of his friends ard sad or depressed, he always brings them a hot beverage, may not seem like a big deal but it shows he cares. When he set up a college fund for Howard/Bernadette child from that patent they created and the military took. When he confides in Penny with his feelings and tells her things he never told anyone else, just so sweet
@@Lex77755 Meanwhile that could be true but it is obvious that he never wanted Leonard to get hurt cause he cares about him alot even if he doesn't wanna admit or show it.
what I love about this scene, is the way they wrote Sheldon’s initial request as being not liking change, and use scientific terms to explain it… then at the very end sheldon finally reveals his true reason for asking. As someone who suffers from social awkwardness, I can relate so much to how the character of sheldon approaches the problem as id be similar
What broke me is when Shelton said "please don't hurt my friend" it was pure and serious. If anyone doubted Shelton could show compassion or how much his friends mean to him. If people still questioned it, that final scene in the finale said it all
"Please don't hurt my friend. " Such a moment. Gets me every time. Brilliant writing and performances. The character development in each member of the cast is unparalleled.
Sheldon cared about everyone way more than they realized. Especially Leonard. "Please don't hurt my friend", was awesome but to go right back into,"coconut what were you thinking?",is what made him such a great character to me
I loved when Sheldon said "Please don't hurt my friend." He's awkward when talking to other people, but when it comes to Leonard and whether it looks as if something bad or upsetting is going to happen to him, he is there. I noticed it because earlier Sheldon'd just be like "you're on your own" but with Leonard's bullying, Sheldon was saying stuff that I was surprised that he was saying to the bully. But when it comes to Leonard, it is different, as he said that he "platonically loves him".
He doesn't want anyone else to hurt Leonard but he is perfectly fine hurting him for 12 years of living together. Sheldon is a hypocrite. He is kind of like someone not wanting anyone else to beat his dog but does it himself routinely.
That is the sweetest thing Sheldon has ever said. It is really from his heart. He wasn't asked to say it and it wasn't a quote from a movie. He honestly cares for Leonard. Even though human interaction and feelings are hard for him he loves Leonard and wants to protect him. Even if it's just platonic that is true love. And if it isn't I don't know what is.
This scene is actually kinda sweet since the way Sheldon talks, it sounds like he's making it all about HIM and he doesn't care about Leonard. But then as he leaves, he finally shows he does care in his own strange way. Sheldon was definitely a handful and could be really annoying sometimes, but his human moments made him really special
"YOU FRIGHTENED ME"!!!.....too cute, also "AS LONG AS UR UP WE SHOULD TALK".... "REGARDLESS OF UR FELINGS" that's awesome!!!! Did such a great job on these
I love how Sheldon cares for his friend but I can't stop thinking about him talking about her shampoo please stop this madness and go back to green apple sniffs* coconut what where you thinking? Are you a hula girl? Best parts😂😂😂😂
Radu Dracula wrong, Sheldon cares about them all. He just doesn't know how to show his affection in a way that most people would understand as affection. Until he is like this, pushed past him comfort level enough that he says his primal feelings. When he subconsciously strips away his own intelligence enough to be on par with those that aren't "super intelligent". At the core we're all the same. Sheldon is no different
BullDax he doesn’t hate him. He only keeps talking bad abt engineers only because Howard bullied him at the start of their friendship. So it’s like an eye for an eye thing
Usually, I get teary-eyed with Howard's mom or dad moments or a lovers relationship moment but when it comes to friendship in this series, I really feel for Penny and Sheldon's relationship
Just like Spock, Sheldon's human side appears during stress or high emotion. That was a warm moment for anyone, but for Sheldon it was downright beautiful...
@@josephpena6181Better than every single boyfriend a broke alcoholic loser like Penny could ever get. It's a good thing Sheldon and Leonard didn't want the money back they provided her for food and rent
Sheldon and Penny have the best relationship. They are both trifling but they are so different and cool in their own ways. The energy and growth feels so real with these two.
Sheldon doesn't like expressing feelings, but he really cares about his friends and even though the first time Penny and Leonard got together, he had problems adjusting to it, now it seems he sees that they belong together, so he help them instead, although sometimes not by choice.. Sheldon is a Lenny-shipper lol
he is like the wierd kid in your class that everyone picked on and made fun of but was really the best person there he is honest hard working and genuinely wants to change the world for the better if i knew him i would look over his annoying side and look after him
Feel like we were watching different shows lol. Yes he was very intelligent and sometimes felt compassion for those he cared about but he’s incredibly disrespectful to those he doesn’t care about. I mean for years he belittled Howard because he didn’t have a PhD, was often misogynistic towards women, and thought anyone who wasn’t an academic was unintelligent, and compared Penny to a monkey and a chimp more than once.
aww sheldon, i'm in tears sheldon can be so vulnerable at times and it is then when he lets his guard downa nd you can tell he really loves the family that surrounds him
I have been watching short clips og bing bang theory on fb but just recently I started to really start at s1e1. Now it’s my ‘feel good’ series to go when I’m feeling blue. A masterpiece.
Not only did Sheldon save Leonard's life when they met, he protected Leonard from Joyce Kim (I fucking hate Kim Jong Un IRL), didn't report to the police that the rocket he (Leonard) made exploded in the elevator, and now this. Awesome.
