916vario Have you seen the lumps they stick on the front of tractors like these. Often well over a tonne. I bet this equipment on the front weighs less than that. In fact, they still added some weight to balance the tractor on account of the fully mounted plough. The sight of a big fully mounted plough on the back of a big tractor is not that unusual. Schone Schlepper, ja, aber sie sind gemacht fur arbeit, nicht nur um 'schon' zu sein. Entschuldigung, Ich habe kein umlaut.

I have had a big lump of soil fall on one quite a few times, trapping it. But I always get out and release the bird, rather than running over it. You have to take care cos they peck like crazy when you try to manhandle them. I grab their head first to control their beak. Young ones have bright orange legs, older ones the legs fade to dull ornage grey. It's the young ones that get caught in the furrow...

please someone can tell me the name and the manufacturer of equipment coupled in front of this tractor?
@alexveldhuis6004
@alexveldhuis6004 9 лет назад
Marcos José Comper The powered cultivator is probably a Lely Roterra, other brands make them too, like Macchio and generally speaking a heavy duty version is considered better. But given that in this instance the machine is lifted over from side to side, I think is why they opted for the lighter Lely. It is also a local product for this farmer. The mounting mechanism was produced by a local company for people that then hire them out, it says. So it is custom made, not a retail product.Hope that helps.

@horseblinderson4747
@horseblinderson4747 4 года назад
Multiple pieces you can still at least do something. Odds are they'd have a spare tractor or two when they're not spending a half million on one highly specialized unit. There's a reason most combines have a near nil resale value, because so much goes wrong with them and they're designed to be a repair pump to siphon your bank account.

So as a Canadian in part of the country where these sorts of pull behind plows don't get used, why are they always angled?
@hazgebu
@hazgebu 4 года назад
If the plow would be straight behind the tractor your working with would be very small. These plows are angled to allow for more working with.
@alexveldhuis6004
@alexveldhuis6004 3 года назад
The material that is being turned over has to have a place to land. They are angled so the material can take the place where the previous body has just made room. Have them all in a line and there would be no place for the soil to go. The soil is not just turned, but actually rolled over about 300 - 500 mm, depending on the spec of the plough..

So after you drop 350 grand on this how are you saving anything? Think of the wear on the tractor!
@alexveldhuis6004
@alexveldhuis6004 9 лет назад
Pete Well, you can lease. Plus what you are looking at is a small farmer, in the big scheme of things. Many are operated by solely the owner and time is of the essence. Unfortunately it is likely to be the case that this kit will be cheaper as an option compared to having to employ another operator, who then at any rate, needs another tractor. Wear on the tractor you say, well yes, they are bought to work, not sit around as a status symbol. They are just means to make a living, they wear out, you replace them. I have spent years operating them, am mechanically sympathetic, don't see a problem with wear, a tractor like that, equipped like that, should handle that no problem, and finally, no compaction caused by the cultivator pass
@gunnarni
@gunnarni 9 лет назад
More wear on the tractor than running it twice?
@alexveldhuis6004
@alexveldhuis6004 9 лет назад
Minimisation of soil compaction and crucially; labour costs. Tractors can be written of on tax and replaced. Depends on the tax laws in your country. This has bugger all to do with wear on a tractor, they are just machines that can ad are replaced.
@gunnarni
@gunnarni 9 лет назад
Makes sense, Alex. I was referring to Pete's comment about wear. I imagine this way to be beneficial in terms of equipment wear, actually.

Is the tire pressure suppose to be that low, is that for reason?
@KingBigBabyJesus

You bet, it allows more surface area of the tire to contact the ground in effect giving it better floatation and traction but increasing the possibility of unseating the tire from rim
