I dont remember the exact dimensions. Bought it at tractor supply but honestly it's too small. Have to ratchet the gate in place because it can't close fully
you should consider some better quality warning lights if you’re working on the sidewalks of manhattan. strobesnmore sells some real nice surface mounts decently priced that would look better and perform better than the $20 beacon from your local walmart automotive section. i would recommend 2 in the front, 2 on the rear sides and 2 on the rear. would look real nice.
hey bro cool stuff, do you think the honda foreman 500 can handle the vplow.. i gotta buncha commercial accounts that are like 20 000 square feet (half acre).. so i might be out there like 8-10 hours a day.. u think thats too much work for a quad. i live in vancouver, we dont get huge amounts of snow maybe 2-3 inches on average for about 9-10 days a year. or do you think im better of with a plow truck. thanks man
Nice video, I’m buying a 2021 Polaris xp 1000 with a v plow next year. One thing that you probably shouldn’t plow during the storm it just isn’t worth it and you shouldn’t disclose addresses of people.
I have a few questions hopefully you can answer.... 1st. Do you need insurance to do this kind of commercial work in New York? 2. How did you get contracted to do these areas? 3. Why does your atv seem to slide so much? I have a honda fourtrax 400 and I can push 1ft down a driveway without sliding at all and the 400 is smaller and lighter.
1) No insurance is required, and this is a private property management company plowing properties belonging to a real estate company. No commercial work is being performed. 2) As for the sliding, my best guess would be the tires which are stock and aren't purpose built for snow use. It is hardly noticeable while plowing and I can still push lots of snow with no issues. Hope that addresses everything.
@@americanchallenger Ah ok yes thanks, I do all residential and don't carry ins. but I know you have to if you do commercial stuff due to slip and fall risk
@@americanchallenger Hey bud, if you're getting paid...it's commercial. There's personal like your own house...then there's commercial where people/business pay you.
How much weight can you hold on that back carry all?? Looking to get a set up just like that in the back for hauling hunting supplies but wasn’t sure about the tong strength. Thanks
So far it has held up. We don't use it much in the summer but we always park it eith the plow on the ground to relieve stress on the front suspension. We've had it for about 3 years
@@americanchallenger that was a great Idea. I have a 2018 570 (red as well). i wish we would get some snow so I could test it out!!! (michigan has had a weak winter so far)
I used to require a load of weight on the rear of my Sportsman 500 when plowing. Got a Grizzly 700 now and no weight needed, much better steering and balance.
Yeah a ballast always makes plowing better. The bigger, heavier 700 helps, but when u have a ballast the weight is actually behind the rear wheels. Counterbalancing the whole unit itself some and makes plowing easier. I have a Touring 1000 and when I plow without the ballast, I notice it doesnt plow as good. I have a similar setup. Check out my channel. Posted some cool vids.
not_so_tactical_ guy what the hell is a Cummings? If you meant Cummins... how far up the hood should the cummins be lifted? Totally agree if you meant lifted out of a dodge.
Looks fun but ATV's are illegal in NYC. Cops confiscate these like candy and send them to the property section. Happens all the time. Real fast way to lose your toy.
