My grandfather passed away recently and when you were showing that “Lawn Purge” game it triggered a nice memory. My grandmother bought one of these bootleg plug n plays for us to play when we came over and my grandfather took a liking to it, he said one day “I gotta go cut the grass” and proceeded to sit down and play a game where you cut the grass, not sure if it was lawn purge exactly but some version of it lol. I actually remember enjoying some of the games on it. Anyways, thanks for that memory.

I’m struggling through a difficult and strange break up and Jontron has really helped me through it so far. I find myself laughing at something he says or does so hard i forget I’m sad. I even rewatch an episode just days later and it still makes me laugh. My favorite right now is when he does bootleg Pokémon and he sees an enemy that’s absolutely disgusting. And so Jontron continued his steady increase in quality. I don't know how you do it Jon. Every episode is better than the last in every way. Writing, camera work, props, production value, it never ends. Every episode I think "okay this has to be the ceiling of Jonquality." Fun fact: I later found many of these games (Including the NES Titanic) on a 308 plug-n-play Data East game system by My Arcade. On top of which, there were literal reskins of NES games like Pinball (lucky ball in this version) and Urban Champion (I don't even remember what the name was, it was just two animals fighting in a forest). How they didn't get sued, I don't know.

Many of these come from Team Hummer, Sachen, or Waixing almost all of Plug and Play Bootlegs are based on the Original Famicom which the Chinese Bootleggers not only hacked and reverse engineered thoroughly but also enhanced up to 16bit and 32bit graphics and sounds. Just Look up Lexibook.
