*So amazingly quiet and **Fastly.Cool** in my room! 42db is at a whisper level. I bought 2 and installed myself.Very sturdy bracket and easy to adjust to fit windows of different size. Absolutely fabulous units!!*
I just put together my second pare, tho the information in the video is good especially when my Mulset did not come with instruction. But i found a couple of changes that made it go easier and truer. 1) using the foam to lift one side is fine but it can not overhang the window, it works better when the Mul does not rest on the area you want to click together. 2) my second windows were not created equal and offsetting by 1/2 the length difference is not correct. you need to look down the window and verify the when the windows are closed and locked the top of the bottom window are at the same level. if you install them otherwise you eye will always see that on is higher than the other. just a food for thought for those that review this video in the future
The infor was good, my mull kit came with a copy all blurry and half sheet. However, they dont go together well. they did not click well nor stay together. the only way i got them to work was a pair tie down strap. Then attaching the top and bottom bars was easy.
Can you install the aluminum end brackets without the flange on them "top & bottom"? as in old construction brick siding, that you slide the window in.
It does not bode well for the brand that the windows they use have significantly different dimensions than they are supposed to. 1/4 inch may mean the difference between fitting a rough opening and being too large. Maybe it doesn't matter in this application but it definitely could matter in other ones. I would not choose that brand.
Why don’t you answer questions??? What about old construction?? I need to cut off all the tabs and the final bracket u put on connects to the tabs so can I cut the bracket?
Don't buy ply gem windows!!! They suck, we built a new home a few years back the builder used PlyGem windows, first my 5' tall wife couldn't get them opened, wasn't strong enough, our friends who stayed in our house called them the PlyGem workout system, HaHa. I called an complained, Ply Gem came out and replaced the springs, which helped some, but darn they keep coming off the track and one side spring will pop out the you will have to screw around on RU-vid to find out how to put it back together. Be ware this is bad engineering at its best.
If they are installed correctly they open easily. If you used expanding foam they could be in too tight. There is a minimal expanding foam for windows. I’m really happy with these windows for the price of $200. The screen is extremely ill-fitting and designed poorly for locking in place.
@@Raina756 Mine don't have foam, the rep came out and put new balance springs that improved the open and closing a little bit. But I find them hard to open and I'm 5'10' but my wife is 4'10" and she can barely do it. Replaced a small PlyGem window which was also hard to open with a Home Depot one and it opens so easy. And the plyGem was more expensive. Sooooo
