I love the personal size because it is your complete life book and everything fits easily on the rings. I also love the Ranger in personal size. To be honest, all of your planner set-ups are beautiful, so...
Ok, the pocket setup is absolutely adorable 😍 If you do your memory keeping in the evening, then I totally see how having the Hobo stay home, while you can carry everything else with you all day, is a super attractive option. I'm a sucker for Hobonichi content, so I'll be here if you keep it. But either way Team Pocket here 🙋. The adorableness factor is 🤩🤩🤩
Pocket (plus) for me is just about perfect. I just wish it was a standard size and I could find all the accessories for it. A6 is just a bit too hefty. Personal is fabulous but I appreciate the pocket coming along so easily. It fits on almost any bag. The covers are less expensive too. Not that I’m buying any…yet. I’ve wanted to make a 2 column horizontal daily, but see you already have. I may have to check that out!
I used a tiny (>A6) ring planner as a teen and I still remember it fondly. One thing that made me switch is that I never found a good archiving solution (the ones I tried either didn't protect the pages enough or were really bulky) and that the rings were annoying when I wasn't writing in it at a proper desk, especially in a tiny format.
the archiving has always been a hang up for me too - I think I've found some good options but we'll see! I think that's part of the appeal of having the techo in the mix too because I find hobonichi's super satisfying to flip through
Hi Lindsey. I’m new to the planning world. I’m learning slowly from your videos among others. I really like ur take on the rolling weeklies. In your next video, can you please share how u use the inserts from your shop? I would like to use them too. I’m a little confused about the column to the left of the tasks and then the days of the week to the right of the tasks. How are you using them both and your thinking behind the same. Thanks in advance. Your simple, yet modular and artistic approach to planning is something that appeals to this engineer’s mind. 🙂
I’ve filmed an in depth walk through of how I use my rolling weekly that should be coming out later this month! Best of luck with your planing journey 💕🫶
appreciate the dream log idea! mine are often wildly detailed but enjoy covering patterns in keywords and maybe even turning those into tracking categories for ease once i've assembled the most common ones
@@lindseyscribbles have so many dreams involving either swimming pools or open water for example, or these places of travel-intersection like airports, hostels, train stations that kind of stuff!
Hi, I just found your video and I ♥️it.! Thank you. I’m trying to decide what If I want to take the plunge into the pocket planner as well. I’m currently using the Hobo weeks( I have stopped using it a few months ago and I’m using I believe the A 5 hobo ( the bigger one) . I absolutely love the tomoe river paper so going to different paper for the pocket is going to be hard because. I know I can get it loose but until I get used to printing I’m going to hold off for a while. I think after watching your video I will take the plunge 🤷♀️.
Your content makes me so happy at the moment. I have been back in A5 rings for a couple of years now but now setting up my personal malden as a gaming/entertainment planner to mostly help me remember what i am doing in Stardew. I have a pocket malden as my wallet but don't really have inserts in there, just cards and notes
Team pocket for sure! They’re so tiny and tiny = cute. Btw, what book was that on the table? I’m a book hoarder 😂 and that piece of cover you can see at the edge of the video has me 🧐🧐🧐
Team pocket for selfish reasons but also while all in one book is nice, personal is such a brick to carry out! With pocket you can have the needed stuff portable and out with you but leave the journaling at home in the A6
I was totally inspired by your old pocket ring set up "Star Wars" edition that I left my left my Filofax personal for the moterm pocket luxe 30 mm rings. I'm feeling the everything in one planner vibe. Both Journaling and dailies live in there, an entire year of monthlies and weeklies, finance, password logs and trackers. That A6 techo though... ugh you have me wanting to try it since you revealed that Tragen cover on IG!!! Aaaaah! 😂
I love both, but if I use pocket i use pocket plus inserts. Im still pretty happy with a Hobonichi weeks and Moleskine pocket daily for journal. Not sure I'd cope with 15mm rings! 🙈
glad your weeks + moleskine pocket is working out! I'm always tempted by the moleskine pocket but I think I'm too attached to my fountain pens to give it a real go for now
Cuteness rules! So great to see you enjoying this experience. Weight and portability are 2 of my non-negotiables. I have a "daily snapshot" in my pocket tn OTG which I then go on to journal about in an A6 Stalogy. Still trying to make that consistent but give myself grace when I'm not. Absolutely cannot wait to see what's next in your journey!
Team A6! 😂 But I've been eyeing pocket for that portability and wallet combo that you mention. It would be so nice to have it all in one compact lil setup!
Ahh the pocket is soo cute! Your handwriting definitely makes it look even better. I'd personally probably stick with the pocket, but I also don't mind having multiple setups. Quick question. What do you use to print out the small photos? The quality of them looks great. Do you have a mini photo printer or do you use your Epson and just cut them down?
thank you! probably going to stick with pocket until i feel like I need more room I'm thinking. I print photos w/ my epson on the same paper I print my insets and then trim them down. It's more cost effective that way. I do have an canon mini ivy 2 which I use when I travel!
Team Pocket Rings, I have the same setup (Pocket Rings and A6 daily journal) but I use Pocket Plus size inserts in a Moterm with 25mm rings and backpocket. I love having my wallet and planner so portable. Personal Rings isn't as portable for me 😅 I haven't used Personal Rings since I've tried it out back in 2016 😅
it's been a few years for me with personal as well - November was the first time I really jumped back into it since college, but I can't resist having a pocketable notebook especially because I'm almost exclusively analog for scheduling etc
I'm not using any type of covers really for my Hobonichi yet but I LOVE the pocket setup and it makes me want to get a smaller book for it now. 😂 I've been doing okay for the most part with the no-buy month on my stationery supplies; I did buy a small 4-pack of ink pads for my stamps (I told myself it will be put to good use since I'm penpalling with a few people now lol) and one of those Bic click pens that has the four-in-one colors. Both were less than $10.00 total so I'm saying it's a win; it's better than the impulse I have for not getting a Hobonichi day-free notebook LOL!
@@lindseyscribbles Absolutely! I also justified the purchase because they're items that can spark my creativity, and having ADHD means I often get bored with what I already have, so I'm working on finding the balance between the two. Thanks so much for your support Lindsey!
I've tried printing on 52gsm trp before and I find that the pages tend to rip around the punches (I might be an aggressive page flipper 😅) - maybe 68 gsm would be better, but I don't have any currently!
