Got the 12GB model last week in blue! I am very impressed with the performance of the phone. It really runs past everything I throw at it and for dirt cheap too.
The F5 although comes with a few compromises. The price is compelling! Considering the performance on offer here. Yes if camera capabilities is at the top of your priorities, this is probably not the phone for you. After watching several reviews for the F5 I was getting mixed signals. But now I am sure! @@axhng I was asking if this version is produced in China or India. I know the Redmi Note 12 turbo is the global version of the poco f5. This poco f5 is "Made in China" or "Made in India"
I think it kinda depends too. for more casual listening, it's nice to have a 3.5mm jack that i can use without the need to bring around a dongle, as long as it's decent enough of course and qualcomm's integrated DAC on their newer snapdragon chips are probably somewhat decent. not to mention of course having an audio jack makes it very easy to just plug in earphones to make a phone call, when you just need low latency audio for gaming, or just when you need to plug in an external mic for audio recording. so i think it's still nice to have that option. but of course like you mentioned, an external portable DAC has a way higher ceiling in terms of audio performance since there is such a wide range of products out there. not to mention that if you already have earphones that pairs nicely with a particular DAC, it will let you get the same audio quality across different devices which is more flexible. so in this case, for users who prioritises audio quality, portable DACs are better for sure. :)
