Really appreciate how you compare and contrast normal daily economic terms and phenomenons with their equivalents in the market of POE. The fact that you can discuss them in enough depth, without pressing all the way to financial jargon concepts, such as ROE, ROI, Sharpe ratio, etc..., shows great restraint and planning. Keep up the good work.
Since feedback was requested: I shall attempt to provide. And i'm conflicted. On the one hand this video feels a lot more coherent than most others you've made. I'm going to assume this is because of a (more extensive) script that isn't there in most other video's. Made the video much more watchable with a lot less stuttering, hesitation, thinking what to talk about next, etc. On the other hand: the information itself feels a bit... disappointing. And this is mostly because of the decision to split this video into two parts. Because I just spent nearly 90 minutes listening to an explanation of terminology that most who are familliar with economics already know (i'm assuming i'm not the exception here). This on its own would be fine. But to then have any practical application be hinted at, but not actually shown makes it feel as if my time has been wasted. Overall I think this video would be better off if split off into many smaller video's so that people only have to watch terminology they are unfamilliar with or need a refresher on. *or* a single large video where this terminology is immediatly applicable. This especially because people tend to forget details as time passes. So by the time part2 comes out they might need to rewatch this video anyway (which some will do, but since its nearly 90 minutes long and will require they stop their current video; most won't. And they'll simply assume their interpretation of the terminology is correct). Timestamps may be a decent halfway point (and they certainly don't hurt to have as a viewer, especially on longer video's), but since you often refer to previous points in the video i'm not sure how well this would work. As for information density: I think this video reached a near perfect equilibrium of not wasting time without overwhelming the viewer (Thats just personal experience though. Others may see this differently)
Economics explained in a way a 5th grader can understand. Really well done... hopefully this gets picked up for more than just poe. Looking forward to the next video. Ill be checking out aome of your other vids from the playlist.

Really good video. I only started POE at the beginning of this league, and I feel like your content is such a hidden gem. You keep it real and clearly convey the information. I felt like the video went by quickly, it kept my attention through out and I feel like it established economy fundamentals really well, to me this was favourite video I've seen by you. I don't feel like the concepts you explained and your way of covering them was difficult to understand, and I would really enjoy the next video in this series if it followed the same oattern. Great work!
I watched/listened to the whole thing so I think I can give some feedback as you requested. There was a lot of stuff that seemed drawn out or of little interest to me when I came to this video which from the title seemed to be about explaining how the high end POE players make their currency. A lot of the explanations felt too "wordy" and some didn't seem to matter to POE itself. Everything that isn't really going to be relevant to POE should have probably been only 1 or 2 sentences maximum or even left out just to shorten the video as much as possible. Most of this is probably because I'm familiar with most of the terminology talked about, even if I don't have a full understanding of some topics. At this point I've looked at some of the other comments and I think Daanstriks comment is spot on. I particularly like the idea of smaller videos for these concepts but within those videos an explanation of the concept + practical applications and how to use some of that knowledge. Making it a bit easier to digest and get a good idea how that information applies to POE and it's practical application. But having this video to fall back on for fundamentals while the other videos giving the practical advise should be enough. (timestamps would be really great here though). Now that said I did listen to the whole thing and the effort you put into this really shows. Can't wait to listen to episode 2!

About credit score: funnily enough, TFT attempted to create something like that via their tiers (“Awakened”, “Trusted”, etc) and their Blacklisting thing. Obviously, this implementation was corrupt in its very form, and thus the “credit score” provided by TFT is not trusted or taken with grain of salt by significant part of the community. Comparing TFTs system to credit scoring of individuals brings some interesting similarities: for instance if a mistake was made in your credit score because of incorrect information getting into the system (human error, not even mentioning targeting of people), it can be very very hard for the individual to straighten it out. Comparing TFTs system to ratings of countries and corporations (S&P, Finch, Moody’s) brings another curious similarity: meritocracy can be overtaken by politics and corruption.
I'm a big fan of the longer videos with full explanations, it's also enjoyable to know your thoughts behind things, especially with how complex the game is, rather than most guides/explanations where it's more or less the person telling you to do something because it equals big money and not elaborating on how exactly anything works in that equation, looking forward to the series

one video topic that I think you should definitely look into discussing that may not be very popular but that YOU would have a great personal insight on is how to maximize standard wealth while in league. for example, parking currency in mirrors vs divines or how many people rip new league content over to standard by playing hardcore.
The information is great. In terms of this type of video not being received as well I think it's likely a fact of it being so much information at once. I do prefer all the information in one video but will rewatch certain parts so I can digest it. I'm not sure how applicable it is to this video but timestamps or section markers on the video bar might be helpful. Makes it easier to come back if I didn't understand a certain section but don't want to scrub through a 1.5 hour video to find it. Keep up the good work!
When describing the depreciation of a weapon as it gets closer to the end of league, Belton could have assigned one of the 4 "greeks" to the phenomenon. Specifically, he is describing, very accurately, what is known as Theta decay. Typically used to describe the loss of extrinsic value in an option, the closer to expiration it gets. It can take years to properly understand Theta decay so that it may be used effectively in your daily trading strategies, yet Belton somehow managed to express the concept in just a few short minutes.
I mostly hope these videos help GGG. Having ways to make currency is important in the game for all players. Having an a single focused league way of making currency is so important for player retention. There is very little for average players to make currency without hoping for a good drop. If you don’t know how to craft then there is not much endgame options for average joes. It is GGG that needs to watch your videos and develop ways to farm specific currencies that make them simple wealth and in turn helps crafters. I personally want to learn crafting but it can’t be done without large amounts of currency. Having standard as a high drop rate learning ground would be helpful for new players. Helm enchants were the few options we had. This was the first league in a while that brought me back. I’m just old and don’t understand the game well but I’ve kept keep playing since open beta. I want to learn crafting but I don’t make enough to gamble away what little I have. What I do get in drops I want to keep for future builds. Lol
Not to mention RMT as put items out of reach for all the average player base. Only the as you say 1% and RMT are having a blast with top end gear. Unfortunately people like your channel create a disparity in the community.

@8:30 poe is a weird game when it comes to gambling and cards, there might be another value that could be coined as "gambling value" where people pay more than a mirror for 9 house of mirror cards because it represents the biggest value in the harvest crafting bench option of double or nothing craft as I call it. This phenomena could essentially turn divination cards in the game into poker chips in a PoE where people vager their bet for an expected value or outcome in the market. We could call that "gambling value" or something else, market determines this value and players act accordingly while trading where a player might laugh at your face if you offer their 9 house of mirrors a mirror and they would say its worth 1.2 mirrors or maybe even more. Oh and great video as always bud ^^

quick question, around 54:30, you say that currency tends to be less available during the weeks of the league, then how is it that this league, 1d reached 110c or less? Shouldnt 1d be more chaos like in other leagues? what happened?
Simple answer is the amount of raw divs in circulation this league I’d imagine. With magic find strats, wisps, and arch nemesis conversions, people were dropping a much higher quantity of raw divs in comparison to leagues past so the supply/demand relationship is skewed compared to prior leagues
Belton please do us a solid, ask GGG in an interview to make the game crossplay please, the market on console is really bad, the items are more expensive than PC market as well as more scarce and selling is a nightmare there, also buying all the supporter packs/microtransactions again to play the game on PC is really expensive, we need it to be crossplay to be fair for everyone who’s invested in the game and the people that are playing the game
Another thing, regarding 1:10:00, victimization, the game tends to favor people that put more hours into the game, so streamers will have much more knowledge and also currency. Seems normal, don't even know how games like this survive for so long, when content creators are "co-owners" of the economy, along others that make a $ from rmt.
