That. Is. SO ME!! Short, petite, flexible, thin feet. And giselle, short toes!! The Capezio Kylee works well for me,at this time. Am also trialing GM, Pianissimo's.
@@arielburrow9433 I have very tiny, thin, flexible feet. Only the Pianissimo's worked for me. They tried every single GM type on me. Josephine can probably explain why, better, than I can. I am also a returning advanced pointe level dancer, could also have something to do with it? Idk.
Yes, I have compressible AND flexible - impossible to fit, especially since I live in an area without any certified fitters (not even in shops selling pointe shoes).
Omfg im obsessed with all this broken feet stuff hahaha obvi NOT broken but crazy to me how the feet work to hold up a whole body on such a little platform! Very cool!
I love all things about ballet from first position to pointe shoes. It’s all good until it comes time for me to dance. I look like an elephant in ballet slippers. I still will always love ballet.
Julia Noe yes, to have pointe shoes you need enough strength and practice, but if your ankles are inflexible you won’t be able to get over your box as well so I would suggest safely stretching your feet and ankles, ask your teacher for safe ways to stretch your ankles.
You have to be able to get up onto the box. You don't have to be naturally flexible, but you have to stretch your feet. I don't have flexible feet, but I stretched a lot, and now I can get up onto the box.
Umm hello please can you see my comment I need help. In my country is no so many brands of pointe shoe and I don’t really know which pointe shoe can fit my feet, can you help me find it? Hope you see this comment
the only way to know what shoes can fit your feet is to try them on. every brand and model's size and width are different so it's very risky to buy shoes online unless you've tried and feel comfortable in it.
Wow, I am in a similar foot type. I even wear the same type of shoe (Classic Pro 90 hard)! I have bigger feet (size 7.5-8) but my toes are really short. I have flexible ankles and the heel of my shoes are always twisting and baggy when I go onto pointe. The classics help with it but do not completely satisfy me.
i know this is an old video, but this is one of my major struggles when getting fitted D; i have short toes, but a very high arch and instep. i prefer full articulation of a shoe, including rolling through demi, but there's never a perfect vamp length that will support both rolling through and keeps me in the shoe D; and if it's too long, then i get pulled back. sigh.
Haha that's what I was thinking! My toes are like half the size of hers. I don't think I even have the top joint in my toes because they are so short. There just wasn't any room lol
Or so I have a massive question I’m thinking about doing pointe but I have had a ingrown toe nail surgery so I don’t have a nail would I still be able to do pointe and if I do get a fitting will I get judged for my feet ?
Unless a teacher gives you a green light for going en pointe, you shouldn’t consider it. Once that has happened, you should probably wait for the nail to grow back. A fitter will not judge you and will find a shoe that works.
sometimes it takes years to find the right shoe or a shoe that will work....if you find something that will work, there are different types of alterations that can be done to the shoes to help them fit better that little extra bit
