*Important information* : I only focus on their very last rematch, that mean at their strongest. I know they had at least 3 other rematch but I want challenge. I might post them, I don't know. Not on this channel but on Volipok directly.
Game Freak: Alright guys, we need to make the gym leader rematches more challenging. Also Game Freak: Let’s have them spam protect! CAUSE THATS FUN RIGHT?!?!
Tell me about it. On OR and AS I thought the emerald frontier brains are back and looking forward to it, but instead just those lame brains from XY?????? Not cool, gamefreak. NOT COOL 😒
@@angelicaph483 exactly. Diamond and pearl remakes is returning. Hopefully they’ll add the 5 special frontier brains from the platinum battle zones, for they’re just as tough as the emerald battle frontier.
Tate and Liza are my favorite Hoenn and over all favorite gym leaders. The fact that gen.3 introduces double battles and you face two gym leaders at once the same generation is very cool
There's a LOT they should've done in oras. The battle frontier, the game corner, character customization, challenging trainer battles, and french horns( or trumpets.)
@@truearea53 For me, the only important improvements in oras were the fairy typing, the special physical split, and the mega evolutions. Other than those, I think it was an overall downgrade from emerald. Yeah the graphics were better but the gen 3 sprites looked just as nice to me.
@@truearea53 I hope they add the battle frontier to the diamond and pearl remakes but I doubt they will. Actually, I want a brand new battle frontier in the dlc. It would be so cool if we finally got a new one after all these years but you know gf probably isn't going to deliver.
Why do they keep on spamming protect like yeah Protect is a mainstay doubles move but calm down honey do some attacks and not just stall yourself for 16 turns.
Seeing this makes me feel really mad about Game freak. Like these old Pokémon games have so many fun features, bonuses and more post game events but now all we get is just a battle mansion, tree and now tower and a short story.
r t You’re thinking Diamond and Pearl Platinum had a Battle Frontier and Gym Leader rematches along with Elite Four rematches that end up making your rival a superboss
This was really cool, I remember playing Pokémon emerald on the gameboy advance when I was younger and I really enjoyed it. My favorite gym leaders are flannery and roxanne. I also didn't know that I could have a rematch with them either when I finished the game.😊 I really liked the 2d sprites too in Pokémon emerald and the other pokemon games too.
I like a few of the Hoenn Gym Leaders. Aesthetically, Winona is my favorite. I find her BW sprite to be one of the best ones in the series. Her Emerald team is super interesting in every battle-first battle to last rematch. Norman is your dad and a strong opponent who gave me a hard time as a kid. Interesting and memorable character. Wattson’s and Flannery have got a lot of personality, so they’re the ones I resonate the most with ahaha. Tate and Liza are memorable to me because they were nightmares to defeat as kid. Honestly thought they were the strongest Gym Leaders of the region for the longest time. That is until three years later, when I defeated them with ease. Finally, Juan is the second most interesting of them to me after Winona. He’s got a great team, and a fantastic role in the Adventures manga where he’s instrumental in saving of the region from the calamity. The Adventure manga was absolutely awesome. TL;DR = Winona is my favorite, Juan is second favorite. Norman, Flannery, Wattson, and Tate & Liza are cool. Roxanne and Brawly they’re... not memorable. That doesn’t mean they’re bad by any stretch.
This is a feature I wish they'd bring back someday, but unlike in emerald it'd be nice if the gym rematches didn't take forever to pop up lol Qotd: Tate&Liza is one of my favorite fights in the main series in general, since the doubles format allows for way more interesting tactics and Tate&Liza actually have high level pokemon that synergize well enough that their fight always feels like a challenge, no matter what team I'm using
QOTD: I'm not for sure but maybe norman because he's the first( and I think only) dad that our characters have ever had. I also like tate and liza because they're the first double battle gym leaders. We didn't get another double battle gym until gen 8.
It's good timing when you beat the gym leaders the first time around because apparently little Timmy with his Zigzagoon and Poochyena is gonna get absolutely rocked by Roxanne now.
I think Origins implies that Gym Leader change their team according to the number of badges you have, so Roxanne didn't give everything she has when you battle her for the 1st time
What I liked about the Emerald rematches was the Gym Leaders using Pokemon that normally couldn't be found in Hoenn such as an Electabuzz, Lapras and Growlithe
Winona pulling out that dragonite was crazy to me because I never knew she even had that mon before. And also I'm so glad that the red health sound and red health music from gen 5 are gone. It is so annoying and the music would kill my vibe every time.
@@Mixeli I've never had a metagross before but I would love to have one. Also, my favorite is gardevoir. Actually, gardevoir is just my favorite pokemon in general.
Me watching him fight Winona: ahh yes he's got ice punch, 4x effective against tropius and with slakings great attack st- OR JUST KEEP USING RETURN WHATEVER
I remember when i beat everything and went back into the phone and saw indicators next to gym leaders names, meaning they wanted to battle again. That had me so stoked when i saw it and was not prepared for tate and liza whatsoever
Champion Wallace with water pokémon. Doesn't have a rematch. Max level stays 58 Gym leader Juan with water pokémon. Does have a rematch and got pokémon above the lv 60.
Well, Juan WAS Wallace's mentor. It makes sense Juan's team is stronger once he got his game back post-retirement and didn't limit himself due to the player not having all 8 badges.
This was my original Emerald team on my very first playthrough in 2005 Swampert Swellow Manectric Torkoal Seviper Flygon Its still one of the very best teams I have ever taken through Hoenn
Before I got bored of your interesting grasp of type effectiveness, as least Flannery to her credit put up a fight instead of endlessly spamming Protect.
Imagine May And Wally Both Battled Against You Near The Victory Road Exit And It Was A Double Battle Imagine How Hard That Would Of Been It Probably Would Of Been Lvl 70 And Higher
3 years late reply, but you have to wait until their names in the PokéNav have the sign of a square poké-ball next to them. That means their rematches are available.
My favorite Hoenn Gym Leader is Flannery. After all, she is a fire-type user. And i love fire-type pokemon. Don't think about dirty things, you bunch of Garbodor minds! (I meant dirty minds LOL)
The gym battles after Dewford's gym was super easy thanks to Kadabra and its psychic abilities. However, the 7th one was a bit harder but I managed to beat them. Still working on 8. 😎💪👍
