For anyone who wants to play Fools Gold, they did update it. Nothing really too crazy. But they did add evolutions from PLA and SV. Aswell as some more regional variants.

The first time I played Crystal, my first time playing gen 2, when Silver tells you his name is ?????, I was just like…”that’s a weird name.” So when the cop asks what his name is, I was just like “he said his name is ?????, his parents must have hated him”. So my first time playing, my rival’s name throughout the game was ?????. It was only the next time I realized I could change it because I called him A**hole and the game went with it

I think Spearow and Fearow are my favourite, a cockatrice/basilisk pokemon is so cool and really spices up two otherwise uninteresting pokemon (sorry spearow/fearow fans)

No clue if Ray will read this but if you haven’t checked them out I suggest taking a look at the rom hacks which give Pokemon up to 4 abilities. I did a playthrough of Emerald Exceeded and enjoyed it a lot and the overpowered abilities on almost every Pokemon makes it interesting. Carbink with Simple Levitate and Clear body made it my mvp. Elite Redux might be more enjoyable due to all the quality of life features which allows for more focus on battling. Anyways keep up with the great content
