A lot of people don't care for/about Gordy, but I really like his character design. He just seems like a confident and energetic guy who's kind of a manchild, but also a genuine sweetheart. Like a 'Jack Black' sorta character.

Throughout the game I was hoping someone would just toss it with one hand behind their back.

Milo: Gives a gentle pat to the ball before throwing, emphasizing his kind nature. Nessa: Takes a deep breath before throwing, kind of like a swimmer before they hit the water. It leans into her indomitable personality as she needs to reassure her overconfidence Kabu: Fire and determination sparks in his eyes before he throws the ball Bea: Takes a moment to hold tightly to the Ball before readjusting her serious attitude and sending it off. Her Pokémon are the only ones who know her true feelings, after all. Allister: His body language can be interpreted as him giving a sorrowful goodbye Opal: Being at an old age, the ball is too heavy and she almost falls over. It's comedic and fitting for her. Gordie: Smug as he adjusts his shades and grips the ball with one hand. He makes a cool and elegant pose after he throws the ball. Showing off is what he loves to do for his fans, after all. Melony: A show of motherly love towards the Pokémon in the ball before energetically sending the ball off. Raihan: Has to take a selfie for the fans and show off his greatness before wildly throwing the ball. Marnie: A somewhat mild-mannered and bored toss since she's not able to express herself well. You can see a lack of confidence or reassurance after she throws the ball (Team Yell is there to provide her those things after all). Hop: Confidently tries to do a show-offish spinning throw. He almost stumbles launching the ball, however. This summarizes his character pretty well. Oleana: She almost DROPS the ball. This is the careless nature she tries to hide for the sake of supporting Chairman Rose. Bede: An elegant and refined toss, befitting of the Fairy-Type Gym Leader. It also stands out from Opal almost falling over. Rose: Very confident in what he's about to do until he notices how heavy the ball is. He hasn't battled in a long time as you can see. Leon: Has a serious expression and body language that turns into a confident, fun one. Leon said himself pushing past the pressure for the sake of having fun is his drive as Champion after all.

It's a small thing, but I really like how a handful of the characters in this game actually have painted nails. It's a very small touch, but it does add to the overall appeal IMO.

Love how some of them chuck it with enthusiasm, others go YEEEEEET!, and some of them like Opal and Bede toss it up there with style. Amazing how characterization is shown in this game. It’s demonstrated in simple things like just throwing a Pokeball. Really enjoyed seeing NPCs actually change over time as I played through the story.

Not sure which detail I love more, Opal nearly falling over from the weight of the pokeball, or Milo giving his pokeball an encouraging pat.

The detailed style movements to the typing of Pokémon and character are spot on. Especially Raihan’s cool dramatic selfie. It would have been pretty cool to let us have our own style of throwing a dynamax pokeball to display even more our personality along with character customization.
