As someone who grew up on all generations, In my opinion I really think the remakes look better. People complain about the chibi style and the sprites of the old games looking better or more clean and what not but I think people give it a harder time than what it deserves. This is the style they were going for and they made just a remake, they never planned on adding a bunch of new stuff to the game and Gamefreak always tells you what the game is going to be before it’s released. If I had to choose, I’m taking the new one and I still have my original versions of diamond, pearl, and platinum. I think people are just biased really. The games to me don’t have to have these ultra realistic graphics to be fun and good. I think people miss the point with these games sometimes. I do think Pokemon needs a new breath of essence for sure, but this is JUST a remake. Nothing more, nothing less.
I agree! This is the WORST Pokémon game I’ve ever played, And I’ve been playing since gen 1 and 2. I loved the original Pokémon Pearl, but shining pearl is hot garbage. ILCA doesn’t give a shit about the fans. LGPE were far better games, and gamefreak actually added some new stuff. This is below the bare minimum. Pearl was my favorite game and ILCA destroyed it. It’s laughable they include non native mythicals, but program, model and design the native mythicals and their events yet keep them locked. 10 bucks they’ll release DLC for like $30 for the missing content they should have included in the first place. This is robbery. The resolution was absolutely atrocious too.

@@ZoeyAlexandria he didn’t say the game is bad, it’s just you saying that. What everyone is saying (including myself) is that no one cares for this new “graphical” improvement. But it’s basically the same exact game, except for the horrible movement control, like seriously is it just me or is everyone having the same problems getting around in this game like movement sux
Most people like the game cuz it brings about a sense of nostalgia. If you play the game for the first time without having played the original, I am sure u will say that the game is good
I just wonder what names they will give to remakes of the later entries? Here's what I've come up with as of now: Yang Black and Yin White Longitude X and Altitude Y Solar Sun and Lunar Moon Steel Sword and Iron Shield
I have shining pearl and imo I thought they could of made the game look a lot better. Like Sword and Shield looked amazing but there are a lot of things in the new games that look out of place
E.g. look at 3:00. Still the exact same amount of books and papers in the briefcase, just with more detail because it can be done now. The folder is the same but with extra tabs, there is a belt securing the folders etc. They did a good job at making it the same but newer.
