not sure about that because this set will be relatively printed in less quantities than others.. this has been confirmed by Pokemon and distributors.. the price is ridiculous though

I’m so glad I got the V alt art Umbreon a while back. I picked up a PSA 10 for $160 or something like that and a NM raw copy for $80. It didn’t budge in price for like 2 years and now everyone wants it.

All 3 moonbreons I pulled were from loose packs from and sleeved. x1 - pulled from sleeved packs from the reprint. New code cards bought the sleeved pack from Ralph's (Kroger) x1 - Hidden Potential Giratina tin from Target (reprint code card) x1 - mimikyu showcase box from Target (first print code card) Opened maybe 200-300 ES packs overall...it's a absolute crapshoot

The $20 current price makes sense. If looking at paldea evolved IR like the Raichu and Tyranitar at $22 and $17 with 36 total IRs in the set compared to the Groudon from Paradox Rift (34 IRs) at $20. The gastly card is arguable better then these previous options based on the evolution line being involved in the art as well as the popularity of the character overall. Tgis offsets the reduced IRs in the set (22 IRs in TF) Gastly should live between $15 and $20. I was surprised myself at the $8 early pricing, but anything above $25 is simply inaccurate pricing and will correct as expected.

I find myself just collecting what I like as I did through my childhood. maybe that is specific cards and maybe it is sealed product but the last thing I ever do is listen to anything any poketuber recommends I buy or invest in. Maybe I'll get lucky with appreciation and maybe not. DON'T go broke for this hobby folks.

No doubt Ghastly will be a $10-15 card. TCGplayer misses me off, as a seller and buyer. They don’t regulate JP listings and also, booster box listings with just loose pack equivalent.

I love Sword and Shield era, but man was it so wallet fatiguing. I just didn't have time to sit with a set and let it breath. Astral Radiance was a waifu forward set and had some banger alt arts. I blinked and like Lost Origin was next. Slow down, damn.

Nah no way, temporal forces is crap hitting. I got 3 etbs and my brother got one. For me, 1 ex and 1 ace spec out of 3 ETBS is too low for me. Im done with the set not even cool art worth $2 to add to the binder ill go to other sets while this one swirls down the toilet 😅

My thoughts on cards like iron crown: not even a Pokémon’s name. Who is iron crown? I wouldn’t pay $5 for a card named iron crown. Good in the TCG game fine, I don’t play the TCG. My prediction, this card will be $20 or less within a year. Sell em if ya got em!

Or it's because Salt & Vinegar era doesn't have any cards rare enough to command big bucks. Sir''s are not SW&SH alt arts and are way to easy to pull in comparison and therefor will never be priced like them. Unless they start inserting higher rarity cards into S & V sets S & V alts will never be as valuable as SW & SH alts no matter what they call them because they are way to common no matter how good the art. This is usually about the stage in an era where Pokemon switches gears and mixes things up to fire up collector interest again. I think Ace Spec cards and a little harder pull rates is an attempt to pull things in that direction and while better the pull rate gap on alts between the two generations is much to wide to have similar price points no matter what they call them.

Yea seems like things are heating up again wonder if it has anything to do with crypto and the stock market running. Maybe people that made money on it want to put it somewhere else now, or have more disposable income so more buyers and less sellers. The Gastly is not the same pull rate as the Magikarp because there are less IRs in Temporal. Less IRs in a set = easier to pull a specific one.
