4:43 Fun fact: In the Pokémon Ruby Adventures Manga, Brendan protected May from a Salamence that attacked them. Despite winning, the injuries he sustained in the battle caused May to break down crying. Believing he was too fierce and scared her. Because of that, Brendan decided to give up battling and instead chose to focus on making his Pokémon beautiful. That is what is being referenced here

Fun fact in omega ruby and alpha sapphire it only takes like a minute to find a Ralts by walking in and out of petalburg you can refresh the special spawn till it shows a Ralts allowing you to very quickly and easily obtain it.

you missed the homestuck reference (I dont blame you we all wish that never existed) and the reference at 5:50 was from the fire emblem series. More accurately its the support mechanic between characters.
