That's the 2nd time I've heard Bart explain the issues with top set; something I would have never considered otherwise. But here, really sounds like the villain's tendencies overrode the top-set "factor." Great to see vloggers who I watch talk shop.

Mariano or anybody - I was going to visit L.A. soon and was surprised to hear that most of your play is at an Indian Casino I believe called Morongo. That doesn't seem to be too far from L.A. Is there a reason that you favor Morongo over the Los Angeles casinos? Maybe Bart was mistaken by he mentioned that you played 500 cap game at the Commerce and also Hollywood Park. Is Morongo worth the trip? Maybe Bart was mistaken and you just live down there now.

Probably size up a tad more on the flop being it's semi connected with AJ7..on AJ6 i think your 40% sizing is fine. Would like to see $60+. On the flop. River I likely flat call. Feels like there are more T9s and XhXh combos than your targeted Aces up combos. Have like 3 combos of AdXd hands that you are targeting. As Bart said, need to unblock top pair.

i used to play at Chumash when it was 18+ and it was about the softest game you could imagine...college kids who were there more to drink beer and donk off their money. Sadly, Chumash got greedy and decided to go with an alcohol license it became 21+ and ruined the game in more recent years. These country Indian casinos are already soft, so if you can find one that is still 18+ you should do well.

Zeke Bones by what? this river bet is mostly bluffs and flushes. all flushes call and the bluffs containing the Kh shove, which is a disaster. no sets play it this way and hero blocks the shit out of top pair/strong two pairs. so maybe he gets this value from a random two pair (Ad2d) or sick hero call but that’s rare. tbh if that’s your target hero needs to basically click it back in the $425-$450 range.
@TheTree1
@TheTree1 4 года назад
Mariano yes that was a bit of button clicking. if i was going to make this raise vs sticky stations i would basically click it back to $425-$450. mostly though this is just a snap call and except to see a flush or a bluff.
@jacobpotter2237
@jacobpotter2237 4 года назад
Zeke Bones agreed. Players in these games are far to sticky. They only look at their cards. Not what a raise is representing. They are bad. Most are never folding a set here. I’ve seen calls in this spot from two pair as well. You have to exploit that to get over the high rake. Of course this is game flow and player dependent.

Rake breakdown: In a no rake game 49% losers 49% winners, 2% break even. In a 2-5 game with a$7 drop 99% losers. 1 player out of 10,0000 can beat the game for $40 an hour. Bart could be the 1 out of 10,000. But 99% of poker don't play near perfect poker. A reasonable drop would be $3.50 plus .50 for the jackpot. Right now California casinos rape players and people are lining up to play. No vaseline.
