The 400 in this explorer i personally built. Top end was machined by lakes motor sports in waterford mi and was fitted for a wiseco forged piston. Perhaps the audio is misleading? In the video im using a switch that activates the rev limiter in foreward gear so maybe thats what your hearing? This machine has no fueling issues and runs a perfectly tan colored spark plug doing slow crawls and top speed runs.
It ran perfect so im not sure what was painful? I have switches to activate the rev limiter in forward gear. Sold this rig not to long ago with a built engine.
I will add the video is very misleading on the sheer angle this pond run off puts this machine. Doing a full send on this trail results in the machine turning 90 degrees and laying on its rims. Rpm control, brake control, and reading the dips in this trail all play a vital role in completing this climb. Unfortunately the exit angle is too steep and requires a winch.
The go pro i use can adjust its microphone when sounds become loud enough to distort. This changes the audio. This machine starts and sounds immaculate.
