The stock BOSS (built on shaft secondary) secondary clutch is hard on belts, noisy, and inefficient.
This belt scrubbing causes the horrible squeal / ringing type noise at lower speeds.
This is due to the inner sheave vibrating at a high frequency on the transmission input shaft.
The best solution for this is to ditch the BOSS secondary clutch and install a Gilomen Innovations calibrated Team Tied secondary with helix and spring combo.
This offers awesome performance and much cooler belt temps which greatly improves belt life. Very easy install.
