POLARIS RZR 1000 Won't Start / Check Engine Light ~ FREE DIY REPAIR!

My Polaris Rzr 1000 was running fine when all of the sudden it STALLED and would barely restart. After spark plugs I knew I had a fuel issue.. Fuel Rail was only getting 25 psi (oem spec is 58 psi). Luckily the fuel pump was repairable with a simple rubber spacer! Hope this Video helps and Thanks for Watching!

Thanks a million! I had this exact same problem. Followed your repair instructions and BAM! back in action. By the way, excellent RU-vid production quality too. Great camera work, lighting, audio, etc. I get so tired of other videos where the camera shakes horribly, kids and dogs interrupting, wind noise, super long introductions, and guys that talk so much about other stuff that the video is 4 times as long as it needs to be! Thanks again!

Holy moly! You just saved the upcoming week long trip! I went for a ride today and all of a sudden, my Rzr just dies out. I’m checked a ton of stuff, but this was the trick! I didnt make a new rubber piece, but my print was unseated. Put it back and boom. 58psi!

I had exact symptoms as you. Would barely start, any throttle given just made it backfire and die. Took out my pump and could see the green o-ring and knew I had the same issue as you. I found a piece of rubber and added it to the existing piece to get enough force to keep the o-ring in and it has been working great! Thank you for making this video!!! This video got me running with a free homemade fix in time to make our trip! I just hope the rubber I used doesnt break down in the fuel.

Thanks brother same issues bought a fuel pressure gauge harbor freight sure enough at 30 psi pulled the pump and shimmed it with a piece of Viton rubber 60 psi and holds saved me some cash thank you

Do you use fuel with ethanol in it? Non ethanol fuel is supposed to not deteriorate small things like that in the fuel system.

It was stored with no ethanol fuel. I have ran regular fuel in the past if I know I’m going to burn through it. Will all that said... efi should be fine with either fuel, just like a car
