This is a remix of "Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic" by The Police. I had intented only to raise the oddly buried vocals, hours later I had this six minute and seventeen seconds alternate version.
Some 4 years later but Yes, Yes, Yes, my friend! Although "King of Pain" has always been my favourite song by The Police (& New Order has always been my #1 band), of many of their songs that I cherish, the beginning of the original version of this song is the sexiest, most beautiful song intro' that I've ever encountered & in my humble opinion, this remix has possibly even enhanced that...but as you say, both versions of this classic really to serve to truly highlight Sting's amazing prowess re: musical composition...& to think, we could have 'lost' him to labouring, bus conducting, teaching or any other number of occupations!!
@@lavielemond Not only a great songwriter , Stingo knows how to spin a good yarn too. I don't think he was ever in danger of letting himself be lost to mundane day jobs.........
This is just so mesmerizing on so many levels. So many buried “pieces of musical treasure” here. This is one reason why they could never outdo Sting’s original demo for the song.
This is an absolutely phenomenal mix, the ending part when all of the instruments mash together with the buried vocals creates a better atmosphere than the original in my opinion.
I found the separate stems as well and was blown away by how many layers and oddities were present on that piano/alt/FX track. Sting was on another level with arrangements back then.
Hi folks. Very sorry but I no longer have the mogg files, they were lost in a hard drive failure. Just come across this remix and just have to say it is brilliant.

I very much appreciate all you've done here. Buried vocals is one of my pet peeves. One wonders why record a song if you can't make out what they're saying? There was a 12" of the 1980 version of Don't Stand released on the A&M label in Canada, extended, and like a fool I did not buy it at the time, though I heard some of it at the record store and thought the intro way too long, and besides, I prefered real Disco at the time. I tried to embrace the "new sound" of 1980, but was stuck in my disco ways. I've grown to like the song over the years, but not the '86 version. Wanna tackle it? Remixes are a passion of mine, and if you are of a certain age, my channel might appeal to you.
How did you do this??? Can I have the .mogg file PLEASE!? Huge fan of Police here and getting goosebumps just thinking about being able to hear the individual original tracks.
There are quite a few Police recordings available as mogg files as they licensed a number of songs to Rock Band or one of those games. You can usually find them on torrent sites. And thank you :)
***** I've been searching for this .mogg for months, all the torrent i've found aren't seeded and I can only download half of them. Do you think you could send me just this one? I would be forever grateful.

Were the snares overdubbed, or did you just decide to remove some of them in certain sections of your mix? hmmm Also, was there a clap trap snare laid atop the original snare in the official/final mix?
I'm not a fan of the first two minutes at all...the Mona Lisa didn't need a more brown accents. However the original buried Stings voice so indeed his voice needed brought up. I don't like the guitar accents either. The piano is now buried and that gives it its sprightly tone. It's a remix and 12 " inch mix so there are alterations.
