It’s 2022. Two four-year-old girls are murdered just a few weeks apart. Their mothers are separated by province, but not grief. For the families of Tamia Botha in the Western Cape and Bokgabo Poo in Gauteng there has been no closure: the police haven’t arrested their killers. In Bokgabo’s case, the man last seen with her was acquitted in the Pretoria High Court last month. Tamia’s killer remains at large. In the most recent crime statistics, it was revealed that 293 children were murdered between April and June this year. That’s at least three children murdered every day. So, why are these cases not receiving the highest priority? Carte Blanche investigates.

Bheki Cele is the problem. The police incompetence on cases that matters is utterly appalling. They only take cases seriously when cases involve high profile people.

They can't even protect their own don't except them to protect us. Political killings in kzn is rife. The problem with saps is from it's leadership. Beki Cele was useless commissioner and destroyed saps and is a useless minister. ANC cadres have no idea how to run anything.

The tavern owners have zero sense of responsibility and are culpable. A child is missing and you tell a distraught mother that it’s late and she has to spend a night knowing her child is in serious danger. No sense of community until it’s too late.

This is always the problem. You call, they say no vans. Then they never show up. When they do come, its another story. My heart is sore for this mother. People just don't care about their fellow human beings anymore

Look in the mirror ANC voters, we all know they can't govern but you keep voting for them. I would assume the reason for the police vans with flat tires would be due to the non renewal of their Tyre replacements and hence neglected. Possibly worth investigating? Shocking that vehicle maintenance neglected due to contractual issues...

Our Justice system is failing us.Innocent people suffer while criminals are favoured.Our country needs to adopt the policy that if government/public service workers are found to accept bribes and are corrupt,they must be fired and cannot work in any government/public service sectors ever again.

All I can say is that our country, the government and the police service is an absolute disgrace 😞. This is the freedom that everybody wanted, where evil men can be free to do as they please.
