Rice v. Connolly (1966) is an English legal precedent holding that there is no strict, general legal duty to assist a police officer prior to any possible arrest or caution, with even basic police enquiries nor to accompany the officer to a requested location. This was also confirmed in the case of Neale v DPP )2021)
Assault? Isn’t it only assault if it’s an auditor against someone else. When it’s against an auditor it’s called reasonable force. One law for them and another for us. The copper is like a slim version of Eddie Hall. Just as aggressive though. The old guy thought he was tough, with his yellow hi-vis on. Another person with a bit of authority who likes to abuse his power.
No it's not. You haven't got to show your details to a member of the public. The only people that can ask to see them are the police, the SIA or the Council.
@@antonyrawling2933 according to SIA rules it must be on display, and i believe it's an offence not to. and anyone can ask, how else will they have any authority? if you don't identify yourself you're a member of the public, if you give directives you have to ID yourself.
That’s a really interesting bodycam that cop has. Thats the first one I’ve seen which has a screen showing what’s being recorded for all to see. I guess that also means that the officer can also interact with the saved footage, rewind, rewatch, edit, delete, etc.. where as without a screen they have to plug it in or give it to superior etc to view the footage.. 🤔
i've seen that type more than once, usually it's the circular one with three leaves around the lens, but i have seen ones that have the screen. and i don't recall him declaring it was turned on "at the first opportunity"
The 2 women in the police station started and instigated the whole thing with their illegal and hysterical reaction to the camera. The copper, nice as he was, should have given them a bloody good slapping and educated them as to the Law
Slowly working my way through the older videos on this channel, a few videos a day, and I've just realised that this cop is actually heavyweight boxer *Alen "The Savage" Babic* just putting on an accent.
If a police officer says “is there anything I can reasonably do or say to make you comply with my request” is a signal they are about to go hands on…. It’s a prompt for other police officers to be ready, given there is only one police officer I am not sure it applies here.
it depends on circumstance but there is no need to resist, if you do they just use it against, like today, say you object but won't resist cos if it goes to court, well, it's them that's in the wrong.
You need to get a pen camera, to protect you from the seizure of your main camera. You also need to make a subject access request for the PC's body camera video
"Don't touch me, get ur hands off me" - "Use the terrorism act, I'll see you in court" - "Get ur hands off me" (Awesome control of the situation by NNY) - Big up Marti for calming the interaction down at this point. "'I've got marks on me" (love it, highlighting the abusive action) Fair play to the officer, he had a craic, he was calm and (dare I say it..slightly tender) :P He gave hugs and defused the situation , we have a decent officer here, for a change. Marti is an encyclopaedia when it comes to "rights" NNY was awesome in getting the content. HUGE respect @Marti + @NNY
@@jackiesmith4153 An auditor is an authorised person that reviews and verifies the accuracy of financial records and ensures that companies comply with tax norms. Their primary objective is to protect businesses from fraud, highlight any discrepancies in accounting methods, among other things THESE IDIOTS WERE NOT AUTHORISED THEY ARE NOT AUDITORS
The pair of them were told to leave, they refused so reasonable force is allowed to remove people from a council building, which the police station is, the public don't own it, the council do.
@@billh7374 lol. and police swear an oath to uphold the law, and this officer watched as NNY is man handles, so stick your opinion. and an auditor isn't solely concerned with book-keeping, get an education.
The copper seemed quite good but what's going on with the beard and arms covered in tattoos, I think it fair to say that in the days of proper policing this copper wouldn't have a job.
Must admit that when I first saw that officer approaching thought he was going to eat you alive ! Never go by appearances!!….First class officer who handled the situation superbly.
Security cannot eject you from a public place for filming. And that cop does not only looks like a gangmember, he also behaves like one, and he was wrong assaulting you. And get this security guard fired, HAS to display his badge at all times.
Its absolutely heinous the offences these Police and security Officers commit against innocent auditors who are after all only flexing or upholding their God given rights to be awkward. I bet there will be censure or severe fine for Wayne for committing this act of gross misconduct whilst in office. Terrible acts on these totally innocent members of the public.
Top marks to the police constable. He remained calm throughout the encounter and diffused the situation in a professional manner. Police of this quality are few ard far between. Clearly a credit to the force.
@@chrispollard6568 Because the instructions were unlawful! The Cop and the useless tub of lard didn't know the law on public photography, implied right of access, the cop didn't prevent lard butt from assaulting the cameraman.
@@chrispollard6568 Crap! They don't film in areas where they are not allowed to, if the correct sign is not placed they can enter. Learn the law which doesn't care about your feelings! The cop violated s26 PACE as well, go look u what that says.
@@chrispollard6568 Jerk! The US Constitution doesn't need re writing, it just needs for morons like you to learn about your rights. Bet you think most of the people cops have killed deserved.
Fair play to PC Brice, example to other officers how to deal with the public and deescalate a situation. Security and police staff behind the counter a totally different story. Good vid.
"FAIR play"??? pushing into you is assault. And then to thank him for his courtesy and calm voice!!! This auditor should have marched straight back into the building. Disappointing. NNY better improve, or give up.
it's a public building how can you be forcefully removed from a public building by abusing the terrorism act & breach of the peace this is outragous. Security job is observe & report I thought how can they have power to go hands on
100% they have the power. He did not comply with the terms and conditions of the building. If you go to some nightclubs wearing trainers they wont let you in...they can physically stop you. They can also physically eject anyone from the premises using reasonable force.
I disagree, his attitude was calm and he was respectful but he didn’t know the law, that instantly takes away loses him the credibility of being an asset to the police force.
Grounds for use of force unlawful by police. Unlawful eviction, thankfully limited physical injury in police assault, but mental damage costs. To be Abused thrice. Police staff, security, and evicting officer.
The copper dealt with the situation really well. Ten out of 10 for a disciplined, calm, respectful way of dealing with a very testing situation. Came across extremely well and a brilliant example of the sort of copper anyone would have respect for.
I thought he had you at the end NNY but your mind is still fast as lightening.. No one can trap NNY into doing something he doesn't want to do!😉😂 You are ON FIRE!! Great video👏👏👏❤
