Polk Sheriff Grady Judd: 'Innocent people are being murdered where prosecutors don't do their job' 

The prosecutors need to be prosecuted for being key partners in all of the violence.

I live in Los Angeles and everything he said is true. Our LA City Council has tied the hands of our Sheriff Villanueva. They do not back him and even stop him from doing his job. We need to vote the council members out of office. There time is limited. We love Sheriff Grady.

This is the best sheriff who cares for ppl. I truly wish we had more like him.

I’d go a step further and include judges in that. Maybe not all judges, but a vast majority of them. Giving violent felons a slap on the wrist rather than serious prison time; turning criminals out on no or very low bail; following minimum sentencing guidelines rather than something more befitting the crime. And for the most part, these judges remain anonymous - they are never held accountable to the public!❗️😡

Being Chicago, Illinois born...Being laughed at simply because we're the crime and murder capital of the universe is embarrassing and upsetting.

Those are two men who I would be proud of my children to look up to. We need more like them everywhere.

I saw him on alot of videos it's flagrant how we can see good in people and others chooses the evil ones thank goodness for this sheriff.

This guy is one of the most basic articulate speaker, fantastic officer, I only wish we had people like him throughout the country.

Love how my city of Portland just happens to be at the top of your list. Hate how the city I used to love has become almost unliveable. How untreated mental illness and addiction runs rampant with people constantly screaming bloody murder right outside of my first floor windows, scaring me and my German Shepherd Dog. How one scary, angry man yelled at me and chased us all the way home as I walked my dog- him insisting that my dog was actually his dog. How I've had to call 911 several times over the past couple of years to report violence, fires, a scary, angry man chasing myself and my dog. In the past decades I'd called exactly once- to report an automobile accident in which someone was badly hurt. My neighborhood was once clean and safe. Now it's dirty and scary and I'm seriously thinking about moving to a safer place.

And Yet in Polk County you still get all these crazy weirdo crimes - I'm glad he's making them accountable but it hasn't changed the craziness that happens in Polk County. - Just look It up.

Preach, I am from a Law Enforcement Family, and I asked why when I was a kid we only had like 5 homeless people, the community knew them. Now we got homeless everywhere, and these are people in their 20's and 30's whom I am referring too. People who if got off the drugs could work, get a paycheck instead of begging, committing crimes, passed out on drugs or on the sidewalk or in front of business yelling/cussing and just ranting and raving to no one. Did you hear that? No one, its like they all have 3 invisible friends they are always arguing with. Drugs.... Well getting back to that family member why the change? He looked at me and said, the prosecutors office, certain judges and county corrections didn't think it was worth their time or effort to deal with these cases and individuals. So they tied the hands of law enforcement, that is why they can no longer write citations against these people. They told them not to follow the laws of the land, so all of hard working folk have to put up with this nonsense and if they were able to arrest them then they could dry out and get free treatment provided by the county. I am from Central Florida, I know Sheriff Grady Judd he is a good man and an honest man. I say the same for Sheriff Chad Chronister, God Bless you all! The people are with you and see what your trying to do! Although I will never again vote for Ron DeSantis for any position again, I know LEO has to be a bit apolitcal so I understand. But Ron DeSantis has been very dishonest, and only plays on our fears and grievances to stay in office. If your wondering why this is taking place is because of the budget increase to FLA LEO.

There’s so many corrupt judges,prosecutors,Leo’s,the system is cracked.

I live in Tampa, FL & he's so right! They have been picking & choosing what cases they want to prosecute, making stuff up as they go along, & that was told to me by an after appellate attorney just last month! The public defenders & the prosecutors just switch places & you'll have a public defender in your 1st court date & than you go back & they're now the prosecutor in your case!! How's that even legal I'll never understand! They're putting everyone on intense felony drug probation & only 8% of ppl actually get through their entire time without violating at least once! And it's not just for drug charges it's for charges that are non violent or have nothing to do with drugs at all! You want to know why they're not doing their job? It all comes down to the $$ of course! For every person that gets put on that probation & violates & goes to jail they get an extra amount of $$!! And than for every person that they offer the in-house drug program to & actually decides to take it they get extra $$! Though I don't agree with the reason for suspending this guy, he needed to be suspended because he's as crooked as they come! The Governor's office needs to do an in-depth investigation on the cases since he got elected for the state's attorney's for Hillsborough county & they're going to see a pattern! This guy was hurting the working class & poor people like me & my family! Throwing innocent people in jail & than telling them we're going to make sure you sit here as long as we possibly can if you don't take this felony conviction & than we're going to put you in prison for 5 yrs or more!! & The prosecutors & public defenders are buddy buddy joking with each other laughing together in the middle of court right in front of their clients whom are sitting there, the majority of them the working or lower income folks, waiting not knowing what is going on & it's just not right! You can't even find an after appellate attorney that'll take your case in Hillsborough county bcuz the prosecutors & public defenders are so crooked! My fiance is sitting in jail waiting to get into the drug program because of course that's what they recommended or they'd lock him up for 5 yrs! And he didn't have any charges that had anything to do with drugs! And he owns a successful flooring installation business & it's just not right! I've known a lot of good people going to jail in this county for really petty bs being dragged through the mud by the prosecutors office & the public defenders don't give a crap! They just go along with whatever the prosecutor is saying or wants to do & pretty much helps them by scaring you into taking incredibly stupid deal for relatively minor stuff! It's been so messed up here ever since he was elected like I said! You need to impeach him or something & do not let that man back into the position he was in because he's done nothing but mess up everything since he's been in the state attorney's office for Hillsborough county! Please Governor listen to me & talk to The States' attorney Mrs. Moody to do an internal investigation in Hillsborough county & I bet you find a lot of illegal stuff they've been doing!! 🤞🙏✌️💜☯️🙋‍♀️

I feel like Judd is _honestly_ on the side of the people. It's very refreshing...and particularly nice because the local sheriff has a big impact on the local safety. He's stuck up for people who've defended themselves with firearms, he's gone after criminals who were making life for everyone else difficult, and he's put a lot of work into the more difficult things. Any dept. can write speeding tickets, but he's consistently going after pedo's (in stings), gangs, etc. You know, _actual_ police work.
