I play guitar, thumping on guitar makes my brain hurt but I can do it okay enough to entertain lol.. I can't imagine doing it on bass with those thick ass strings. I know he's using a pick but man, that would still be tough.

Absolutely! I never really felt like I didn’t need another bass until I got the sr prestige and its a phenomenal all around bass.

sick cover how do you personally do the ghost triplets/quadruplets? do you "slap", pick up, then pop with your middle and ring fingers, or am i missing your technique?

Slap-pick-middle-ring. it tends to vary depending on what groupings the ghost notes are in so sometimes its a slap straight into a pop, or two slaps into a triplet, etc. I hope that clears it up a bit! Im working on a tutorial for it for sure though ^^

@@dylbbnak yeah it does for sure bro, i worked it out to be as you described (including mixing/matching depending on the groupings) but i wanted to double check since yours looks a ton cleaner than mine do you learn the songs direct from the tabs Polyphia sell? or the guitar pro ones maybe?

@slayjaxYT glad to hear that! I use the guitar pro tabs on their site to learn most of the songs, however I’ve noticed with this album in particular sometimes there are parts that don’t seem correct or exist at all in the actual recording. If that happens I just learn by ear ^^

@@dylbbnak that's interesting - do you think it might be the percussive sounds of the bass being mixed up with the thumping from the guitars? or even the drums (clay seems to have his drums tuned really tight)? either way, all your covers rip, your videos are the reason i've started learning their bass discog

Im super happy with mine! Neck is extremely comfortable and its a super versatile sounding bass. I’d definitely recommend it but I also haven’t tried a btb!
