Chris i would love to see the finished job ,9-12 months after you finish,it would be a beautiful place, also I’d like to see the finished /updated pond job that you and Justin went to ,where the road worker had died.
Marc René Yvon I believe it was July 25th 2019 Scott’s son from southern homestead transformation was killed at work by a truck driver no paying attention to the road, he kill David and his coworker, it’s a terrible tragedy
This series ought to be called, how not to dig a pond. What a mess, I hope they didnt pay all of the last contractors bill. You are doing all the hard work by cleaning up and finishing it out. I love watching you work off mats now thats an art!
So ready for the pond disaster project to be completed. Can only imagine how much Chris wants it finished. Just hope, by word of mouth, that the original contractor is NO LONGER doing pond work. Geez, what a mess! The transformation that Chris and crew have made is AMAZING. Just goes to show, get the best the first time.
like Chris said in the beginning he does not know what the original guys plan was and he was just there to fix it. I don't think the first guy had a plan just a bunch of restrictions of what he could not do and the wrong equipment for the job. also if he is doing pond stuff hope he has learned since, maybe it was the owners family friend who was willing to just did not have complete knowledge of how to and got overwhelmed. so many variables but in the end Chris will make it look it's best with what he has to work with.
I have bad anxiety at times and watching you operate helps me deal with that. I'm not sure why but it's the one thing I've found that will take it away pretty quick
If you go back to when you started this project the way it looked compare to now ,I believe you would say no way that’s same place.great video.😎😎😎😎👍👍👍👍
Wow first saw the video of this disaster and was like how the heck is he gonna do this now I’m looking forward to each week for a new video to see the progress. All I can say is wow can’t wait to see the finished project
Grading that bank looks like the ideal task for your own 240 with the articulated grading bucket - mebbe persuade your uncle to put one on the 220...;-)
The question that I have is - "What ever made that last contractor create such an abortion of this pond in the first place?" Chris and crew have done a miracle with this sows ear.
the slop will help out the trees too by covering exposed roots and nutrients from the rich bottom mud , root mat help on preventing wash out as they take hold
28:30 reflection in windshield of your arm - looked like an arm in the bucket. Bout cra**ed my pants! da Vinci used paint. Shostakovich used musical instruments. Frank Lloyd Wright used architecture. Chris uses an excavator. Remarkably talented. Poetry in motion - every bucketful. Thanks, Chris. Keep up the fabulous work (and keep showing it to us!).
Wow that looks like its gonna be 20 foot in spots I would try some walleye in there in a few years if they start multiplying they are such a good eating fish
Thumbs up for saving the turtle, let alone the rest of the vid. What a mess this job is. I do hope we get some before and after shots when the job is all done. I'd be really keen to see a side by side comparison of the amazing work you boys have been up to.
Not quite a silk purse from a sows ear, but looks incredibly better than it started. Sad to see what a mess the first company made. As you said, it could have been so much better if it had been done right from the start. Good job and good video 👍👍
I've been watching your old videos trying to catch up on them and now l'm going to have to go back and find out what's going on here Chris! I will stay tuned to this channel. Keep diggin😎
Bro I just had to tell you that you do an amazing job. Plus you give us entertaining videos by just doing your job. You are an amazing person Chris. Thank you for entertaining us while this covid 19 thing is happening. Thank you for all that you do. May the Lord Bless you and your family.
TheSoloAsylum sorry mate, we invented this language. Wagons tip and are known as tippers. A dump is when you go to the toilet and squeeze a log out. If you need any more English lessons just ask on here and I’ll point you in the right direction.
I only have a smart ass answer, a bit less than 55 tons. Now, guessing: 2000ish lb. Bucket. 48"x36" at the flat part. Machine is counterweighted, so it is made for pulling more that pushing (packing). If we assume a downforce of 500lbs from the machine, psi is around 501. 1000lbs... 1001psi. And ill guess the actual psi is very close to the weight of the bucket.
Hey Chris, I’m a huge fan and love all of your videos! Do you think you could do a day in the life of letsdig18? Love the content keep up the great work and God bless!🇺🇸
After 13 years of watching these videos I feel qualified to say that I think the bucket on the 220 is ready for some shims. Now I'll go back to pushing my wheelbarrow.
Not even close. Didn't clean the turtle up, check it for injuries, feed it, look for any turtle-kiddies, given it counselling for trauma after the bucket-ride. Give a Karen an inch and they take it all. I was married to one. She took it all and I considered it a good deal.
Look at the video and you know, why Chris is worth every Dollar he charges for a job. Great work as always, Chris !!!!!! Let us see more of it. Greetings from Germany
This whole pond looks like the first guy tried to make it an ultimate bass pond - random holes, submerged sandbars near sharp drop-off's, shallow points, stumps left in etc. But 1) screwed it up by not sloping the banks naturally, 2) digging out around the trees killing them and 3)tried to cram too much into too little area.
Coming along Great Man !! Believe it's gonna turn out a lot better than the Owner is expecting, everytime I sit here and think about the first Contractor, just makes me SMH !! Of what the Hell He was thinking ?? Must say Chris , you do amazing work Man !! On to "Part 5" ! lolol.. Have a Great Evening......
Sure a transformation from where you started out bro, ya would have got a big thanks from mother nature for saving the baby turtle too. Y'all stay safe
The use of the mats don't seem to sketchy, until your going back to dry land. I am amazed how the mats work. Would you or have you ever attempted the 250 on mats? I Can't remember.
Big bonus points for saving the Turtle. Now before you had the camera with at work did you narrate the day to the machines? IE talk to your self.......
It's definitely some wet ground around that there pond in that property, should not have any problem with the pond filling up, that grass an stuff you was digging an transferring over on the bank, was like floating on the water that was underneath, that's some wet stuff, your videos Rock, best content on YT, thanks for my evening TV watching Chris, man I would do anything to work with y'all,
