Glad to hear that. Yes we play snooker as well (with league and tournaments), but it's not as big as pool. However it's pretty popular, many people like to watch snooker on tv.

please watch the last part of the video. and watch the whole video again. tangent line does not change, that's not how physics works. if the object ball direction does not change, you can not change the tangent to that direction of aim. you can certainly change the path of the cue ball with forwards or backwards spin, in which case the effect of said spin is so quick that it looks like you changed the deflection line. but what is happening is that the follow/draw is applied and quickly used if there is not a lot of it. since the direction of follow/draw is not along the tangent line, it will change the 'angle' of the cue ball, making it look like you changed the 'tangent line' since it goes off straight in less than a second. english does not change the cue ball path at all, except in the cases of swerve.

No, the tangent line works with a ball that is hit in the center. Adding any spin causes the cue ball to travel away from the tangent line. The slide is used for stop shots.

If not hit hard, a CB hit in the center still will roll before hitting the OB. And the tangent of a rolling CB is not 90%. Rather it's around 30%. The harder you hit, the more you are likely to miss because of innacurarcy of your body. You probably aren't lose and your muscles tense up when hitting hard. Try to do everything the same way, like when you're hitting with normal speed, except the last forward swing of your arm. A smooth backswing with a pause before the final hit is often helping.

Yes a bit, because with left or right spin you have to aim a bit different on the object ball, so therefore to tangent line slightly changes. But it's something you can neglect.

After contact the cueball is looking for a way to go because there is still kinetic energy on it (except a straight in stop shot. Here all energy is lost). Until it reaches the 90° angle there is always a part of the object ball in the way. So at the 90° the way is free for the cueball because there is no resistance from another object.

'conservation of linear momentum'. The object ball receives all the momentum that the cue ball has in the direction of the pocket. This leaves the cue ball travelling perfectly sideways to the pocket.

Yes, the cueball must be sliding. You can achieve that by hitting slightly below center (harder hit) or way below center (softer hit). So basically a stop shot but with an angle.

Yes, I am 6'4". It's a handicap on the one side, because I really have to bend. But on the other side I can reach shots a lot of players would never be able to reach. I have to use the mechanical bridge maybe 1 out of 3000 times. So I can't complain.

Das Video beschäftigt sich mit der Stopball Tangente. Die ist gegeben wenn der Spieball ohne Vorwärts- bzw. Rückwärtsrotation auf den Objektball trifft. Das hat u.a. damit zu tun wo man die Weiße anspielt, aber vielmehr wie sie ankommt. Ich kann auch einen rollenden Ball spielen wenn ich die Weiße ganz unten anziele. Rolling Cueball ist ein ganz anderes Thema, das in einem zukünftigen Video behandelt wird. Was genau ist deiner Meinung nach Falsch in dem Video?

"rollenden Ball spielen wenn ich die Weiße ganz unten anziele" ja schon klar, kann man ja z.B. bei entfernten Kugeln machen wenn man die weiße nicht langsam anspielen kann/will um es durch den Rückzieher auf der Strecke abbremst und zum Schluss rollt sie nur noch.... Auf jeden Fall wenn sich das alles auf den Roll/Stop/Press Ball bezieht, ist es natürlich zutreffend - mich hat das nur "irritert" da das nicht in der Überschrift stand und ich gehofft hatte dass sich jemand mal die Zeit genommen hat um "Kugelaustrittswinkel" je nach was bzw. eben wie man die weiße spielt, sich verhält... Gerade wenn man auch mit Efé spielt (hoffe dass Efé so geschrieben wird)
