Honestly, I was on the fence about getting this game, but now I'm more than excited to give it a shot! Based on what I've seen I think I'll wait till fighting chance releases (especially since my backlog is ever growing). BUT I am definitely going to buy it. I've always loved FNaF world, by far one of my favorite rpgs, so seeing this makes me very excited and happy :D

I had the idea of making a fan game of my own and wanted to see what kinds of software bigger creators use and get an idea of what would be best for me to use to make games. DUDE THIS UPDATE IS GONNA BE FIRE! I haven't touched POPGOES Arcade 2020 for a few weeks, is not a few months, due to me completing the game, but now I have a reason to come back again!
At this point it would be better to same any future content for a full-blown Popgoes Arcade 2, because there's no way they'll make more free content updates for the game when it's already so cheap
When Popgoes was brought over to Steam I remember enjoying it immensely, as both a small teaser for Evergreen, and as it's own fully fleshed out game, it'll be exciting to replay it when this update comes out!
Can't wait to beat this update's "No health upgrade" challenge. The removal of money boots will make this much trickier as you can no longer just infinitly grind for money without any danger, however all the new ways to obtain coins + the new stamp system should help with obtaining a large number of shields. Also the faster damage upgrades should also help the early game grind for shields
I adore that after 4 years this game is still around and as relevant as ever it’s truly amazing and a testament to how this game’s legacy and it’s impact on the community and the people who have played the game since release 💚💚💚
I have not played The game yet. The only time I saw anything about it was when Phil streamed it with you a while back. With That being said I really like what you showed in this showcase. You seem very passionate about perfecting this game and I will definitely be buying it.
Wasnt expecting inflation to get into popgoes arcade. Thats like, the 2nd worst type of inflation. (jokes aside I actually have a reason to finish 100%ing the game now.)
I’ll miss the iconic money boots, but everything else looks genuinely incredible. Love how much depth is now packed into this small game; it’s evident how much love has gone in. We will be playing again, we will be buying the mobile and console ports, we will be loving every second.
The money boots were actually a bit busted. During my minamalist runs of the game (where I try to beat "The Dead Forest" and "The Machinist expansion" with the most limited stats possible, I found an easy exploit with the money boots 1.get the funny boots upgrade 2. Go to one of the four forests in the game 3. Beat a miniboss if you haven't already,the miniboss rooms are where the exploit takes place. 4.simply get an object heavy enough to press the W key continuously or an object pressing up on a controller's joystick,Popgoes will continue to walk up against a wall and will earn money with the boots. 5.do something, go outside, sleep for a bit, etc 6.bam,infinite money.
Ultimately, when I beat the machinist, my lowest stats were 18 ATK 100 HP Now...if you are curious...I can tell you how I did it...(spoilers for the fight) 1.use the money boots exploit to buy a lot of shields,pizzas, ATK+ and DEF+ buffs 2.go to the machinist 3.put up a shield and just attack him when given an opportunity 4.when he puts the first laser piece down, use an ATK+ buff first, then use the DEF+ Buff. 5. Here comes the tricky part, when he puts down the laser, make sure to have your DEF+ buff always active and refill it. And continuously chug pizzas While getting your hook attacks in. You will certainly be at the edge of death numerous times but the pizzas will save you as long as you are quick enough. MAKE SURE TO NEVER HAVE THE DEF+ BUFF EXPIRE OR YOU DIE. 6.after a ton of turns, break the laser and celebrate...the hard part is over...now for hell. 7.the Machinist will put down his lackey...kill it as quickly as you can. 8.repeat steps 3-6 when he puts another laser piece down 9.if your lucky, he should eventually kill himself with his own attacks...or you deal the final blow. Whatever works. 10. Dopamine time. You did it.

Definitely getting the game now (put it off for sometime) this update looks sick! Also Kane, if you are reading this, please give Simon more lore and a clear story! He was my favorite aspect from the original popgoes game, I would love if he were to come back as a alt ending or secret good ending (or as I like to call it, Great ending)
I'm calling it - the new NPC will be based on the Marionette. It's the only one I can think of that's related to gifts. Also, the Battle Gift mechanic sounds pretty nifty! The stamp idea is also a neat way to encourage varied shop purchases. All other changes also look really fancy! Noce job!
I know this is random but things about popgoes I hope are teased - more of False mangle and maybe false chica ( I imagine false Bonnie is gonna be completely secret like Simon ) A hint as too how the false animatronics even exist (and why do False BB and Simon share a color (purple Suspicious…) ) - hopefully a full blackrabbit render set like the main 5 animatronics did (or atleast one full render instead of just the head and shoulders ) & -Whimps the weeper being somewhere he likely shouldn’t be…

Despite never completing the second half of the game, I still love this game, but have gotten a bit burnt out, so I'm super excited to replay all of it after this update comes out
This update sounds fun af, 100% gonna reinstall Arcade on Steam to give this a go though I kinda wish there was a new game plus feature to make replaying the game more interesting but regardless of that these new features sound really fun, especially the gifts.
As someone who has reset his achievements a few times on Popgoes: ARCADE, here's my honest pre-release review: This update did mention a load of things that I am excited for: balancing, new secrets, in-game achievement access, new/upgraded content, and plenty more. I am especially excited to see the new secrets, the upgraded/new content (such as path spawns being lessened and the upgraded visuals), and skipping dialog. However, I personally got a bit upset nerfing the upgrades for our attack stat as that's something that, early on, is vital to continue. I also feel like it'd be cool to have a save system (like Resident Evil, My Friendly Neighborhood, etc) that allows us to go back to certain times and go from there. (This would be helpful in terms of replaying certain sections without the entire game or achievement hunting [for the Ultra Freddy achievement] which, if forgotten about, can mess up an entire 100% playthrough. I love the idea of the gift boxes and tunnelling system as that does spruce up the combat quite a bit! As for the secrets, I am hoping for a bit more insight into the glitch we see moving north at the gravestones, more insight as to why Bonnie Glade is inside the arcade machine, rather than the pieces that Popgoes prints in the game (2016 Night-Based), and maybe why Blake the Badger wasn't in Parts and Services when Bonnie was killed. Either way, I'll probably update my Steam review when the update comes out and I've had a chance to play through it a bit! I look forward to this update, as well as Evergreen's full release! Thank you, Kane, Emil, and the Popgoes Team for everything you all are doing and I hope you keep up the good work.
The ATK UP has not actually been nerfed. Its power has been halved, but so has its price. This was just so that the AMOUNT of upgrades for ATK was closer to the amount for HP. It's not a nerf! The only nerf is the fact that its price will increase slowly over time, but it's mostly balanced out by it being VERY cheap at the start. Hope that clears it up. Adding multiple save files, or a way to continue to The Dead Forest, is VERY difficult. It's a common request but I don't think we're able to do it. The glitch moving towards the grave stones IS in fact Bonnie's soul - it's a hint for the player to visit the top left of the map (the chest in the water). As for your other requests... we'll see I guess! Thanks for the comment!

i am so happy about the update to the dethroned ultra achievement, because like a day or two ago i got the game and started working on 100%ing it and i had to play dead forest twice to get it lmao
"POSSIBLE" SWITCH VERSION LET'S GOOOOOOOOOOOOO The only reason I haven't bought this game is because I really don't like buying games on PC unless I absolutely have to. I was planning on getting it... eventually... maybe... but now that it's "possibly" coming to switch, I will be getting it DAY ONE when that happens.
This looks great! I can’t wait for it to eventually release, I’m pretty sure I completed POPGOES Arcade 100% in-game but I missed a good amount of the secret achievements (even ones in the dead forest which I’m unsure I could’ve accessed after being in the machinist), so I’ll definitely come back to this game very soon!

Hey Kane would you ever consider remaking popgoes arcade 2? i really liked it but the style change from the Remaster of Arcade 1 to the style in Arcade 2 is very jarring
You have unfortunately made the grave mistake of fuelling my autistic desire to collect achievements to the extent that I can manually delete my progress and start over again and again and again and again. Can’t wait honestly, I definitely wanna see how the new QOL features impact how I play.
What I don't understand is why the jukebox songs are more expensive now. The items being more expensive makes sense but the songs don't help you out in any way so buying them is literally a waste of money and only people who want to 200% the game will buy them all so it seems like this change will just make you grind more but maybe I'm missing something
I doubt this idea will be seen, but it would be cool if we could play as each member of the cast, each with a different playstyle and gimmick to go along with how they play. I also found it odd that Simon, Strings, and Deadline, and the Marrionette were all left out of the story. I hope Kane does decide to include them somehow later on down the road.
I bought this game for my birthday last year and had a blast, gave up before chapter 2 cause i was trying to get all archivements in the dead forest first. I suppose now i have an excuse to get back to it, i'm glad you're adding all of these features and as someone who played quite a fair share of it i'll be looking forward to this update!
I think the battle gift descriptions should be a lot less verbose. For something meant to speed up battling and grinding it sure is a lot of text to read. Like for sickness that whole text could be replaced with like health and a down arrow or something, and the player would get the full idea quickly after a turn or two. Wouldn’t be too bad if there weren’t 9+ of those verbose descriptions to memorize before you can skip over them. Could even keep the text, just add some icons or something to help with skimming.
15:41 i think changing dethroned ultra requirement makes the achievement easier because now its only for when you fight freddy, where as before the achievement was something that took your whole playthrough to do. Takes away from the thrill and fun of that achievement
Very excited for this new update. It addressed pretty much all complaints I had with the game. Especially replayable bosses, they are my favorite part of the game and I'm very happy I don't need to replay the entire game when I defeat them and progress further. Lookin forward to it!
This is a really entertaining and informative video, definitely gonna replay this when the update comes out!! Love when you can revisit bosses/ enemies after the campaign!! Can't wait!
I was actually replaying the game in the waits for this update i'm in the machinist campaign right now, replaying it reminded me of how good the game is, and this update might make it even better
Probably won't see this but pls make the soundtest in the game either free (like a post dead forest reward) or cheaper since it being so expensive makes it less valuable.
