Man I am so excited for POPGOES Evergreen. I’d already been keeping an eye on it because I’m hype for all the FNAF Fanverse games coming out, but after playing through POPGOES Arcade last month on stream I’m waaaaaay more hype for it. I had to do some news and speculation on this fan game. And I’ll probably do a full theory video on it when it comes out, but until it does here we are.

I love how the FNAF fan games that have lore that use the original lore of FNAF interpret the original FNAF lore in a way that makes their own lore interesting! It's a cool way to tell different stories when given different contexts!

It is honest-to-god my absolute favorite parts of the fan community. To an extent, it's another form of fanfiction. So was Paradise Lost and Dante's Inferno! I love watching people flex how far their skills have come and tell intriguing stories through these characters.

Thank you so much for all of the trigger warnings throughout the video. It's something so small but is really appreciated. I used to faint very easily at anything involving blood, and warnings like these would have meant the world to smaller me.

No worries. I usually try to for jump-scares, but some of the art for Popgoes is a little intense, especially considering how little blood is in FNAF itself. so I thought it'd be best. (Especially the Bonnie drawing)

So, there was something in "The Machinist" that I noticed that seems interesting to me. During the footage of the Server Room, there's a single panel taken off the floor, revealing the wiring underneath. That same panel is also missing in the proper reveal of the Server Room. That alone isn't to unusual, but here's the thing: that panel wasn't missing in the very first footage. It's in the second footage that the panel is removed, and then shattered in the third. What's really odd to me, is that it seems someone moved it since there's some kind of handle on the panel. Maybe it was Bonnie, but that begs the question of why?

Fun Fact: I can’t find the post but Kane commented on Twitter that the pizzeria is closed during Evergreen. Maybe because of Bonnie’s murder and Fritz attempting to make the place “transparent” like 2016.

I think it makes a lot more sense and is more compelling yeah. I mean if FNAF has ended the original story around FNAF 3 /FNAF 4 they'd be pretty even but since the main story is STILL going it's gone off the rails lol

I completely agree. Despite the story being changed a lot, I still think it went through a better direction than the original game after FNAF 4. I really wished Popgoes Silent Night, Encore, and Deadforest weren't cancelled because the ideas sounded so cool

Granted, my reason was a random tweet Kane posted where he noted the amount of Mangle boss fights there were this year, one being his own. i really hope strings comes back because for some odd reason he’s my favorite. back before the lore was rewritten, i absolutely LOVED the lore idea for the original planned sequel where simon breaks strings for parts and takes out his curiosity module (which made him the strictly security bot) and made him a free thinker capable of speech and free roaming. (which for extra detail if anyone is curious; the curiosity module was what programmed him as the security bot looking for clues, it was more of a guide/restriction for his AI so that the game ran smoother. it made him only able to do the bare minimum so he couldn’t speak, move, or really freely think. once simon tore it off he could now do all that stuff which made him a really cool protagonist concept. i remember all this from when i obsessively was researching the game more, looking at all of the info cards and wiki pages.) this was something that you didn’t mention but i can see why. probably was no point in adding the sequel lore if it got cancelled. i also really loved buttons, especially the version of buttons that simon made him into.

I think PopGoes did a better job of utilizing the Sci-Fi elements of FNAF, starting with the fact that it comes into play after FNAF 3 (only 1-3 are canon to PopGoes) and it’s not batsh*t insane to the point where it’s hard to take it seriously (it’s still somewhat grounded) and the paranormal haunting stuff is still there without stuff like remnant and agony and it’s actually used to create a dynamic between Simon and Jeremy and how they approach immortality and it’s actually more interesting then William Afton trying to be achieve immortality or bring his son back It’s definitely one of the most interesting and one of my favorite FNAF fan-stories next to Candy’s

I noticed that you said that _POPGOES Evergreen_ will likely be the second installment for the Fazbear Fanverse Initiative, but wasn't _One Night at Flumpty's 3_ the first installment? (Edit: Never mind; now that I think about it, the official Fanverse release for the _ONaF_ series is going to be _One Night at Flumpty's: The Egg Collection_ (unless things have changed because of the controversy involving Jonochrome, but, so far, there has been no information about that).

One thing I must say about fnaf past security breach, it is going to end during the dlc. But the next game instead of continuing security breach. We will go back to a forgotten place, I have know idea what place. But the reason I have this idea is because how scott makes fnaf. Fnaf 2-3 were about old/forgotten places, the next game being fnaf 4, a old forgotten incident, 1983. Fnaf SL, then fnaf PS which is later in the timeline, then ucn ,then help wanted, and security breach. Scott has not made any forgotten places or old places, so the next game will be in a forgotten place, a place of importance.

I’ve got a fnaf theory, here me out it’s far fetched, but remember when the indie game developers in Fnaf Help Wanted tried to cover up all the past that had happen? Well, what if it wasn’t all wrong, what if only Fnaf 1-3 is canon, and 4-6 is apart of the indie games released from the rouge game developers? Because if you think about it, after 3 that’s when the series started to get wacky, “but what abt security breach?” I hear u say, well, my theory is that security breach never happened, and is just another video game in the series to capitalize off of the tragedy of the past? Idk, it’s just a theory but I think it’d be really cool for u to go over it for fun :D

My theory for who we play as is that we'll play as a new version of Sec-Strings. If the Popgoes animatronics ARE the dreamcatchers now rather than the scarecrows, then shouldn't Fritz still want to get rid of the Puppet from his nightmares? I believe that we'll play as a redesign of Sec-Strings, whether it would be a more family friendly design or still a cryptic design like the original, i don't know. But that may be why Kane can't actually give a yes or no anwer, cause technically both answers are true

I mean if they're making a remake of the first game and after it's released it will be a really good time to try to revive the game and release it (but that's just my theory I want to know what you think)

Kane said that The Dead Forest will never have a remake or anything like that. Also, EVERGREEN isn't a remake, it's a complete reboot, it will change lots of things (both lore wise and gameplay wise)

Wait so in the original story why are popgoes and the other animatronics alive? why are they trying to kill strings, are they just hallucinations? And why is popgoes trying to rebuild bonnie and why does she kill strings? Are these things not confirmed?

They might be programmed to do that since POPGOES takes place in modern day (2024).

So the other animatronics aren't really "alive". The theory behind it is Bonnie's ghost is trying to get the POPGOES animatronics to build her something she can possess fully to do what she needs to. She influences Popgoes to go build it, and influences the other animatronics to disable string's ability to fight. The squirrels try to take our phone, Blake tries to shut us out. The only way Strings gets "killed" is by having a panic attack. If we ever see an animatronic kill him it's confirmed to be a hallucination from too high panic. However as Blackrabbit has no programming, there's a chance Bonnie actually does kill strings after she's built, but there's also a chance it's just another panic attack. Hope that helps!

@@RyeToastfrom what I researched a while back (could be off though since by a while I mean at least 2 years) I think at the time it was an attempt by Fritz to fix his mistake in killing his daughter by changing the weaselware programming with the code “SAVEBONNIE” which meant that they were just doing whatever they saw fit to fulfil the task as simple AI. either that or it could be Simon controlling them. I doubt that though because Simon doesnt have access to weaselware until that one ending in the game so it had to be Fritz. at the end of the day the original lore isn’t canon anymore either way though lol

i tried watching the video.. but i realize that i didnt complete the new popgoes arcade so i spend the next two day completing the base game and the machinist... king freddy is obliusly a reference to bonnie so i thoug that the secret mangle boss could be like the a part of bonnie that got left behind so we got shadow bonnie the good part that wanted out and king freddy/mangle the part that wanted to be revive and at the end of the second part gets defeted.. but what if the way that we defeted them just lets them loss in the real world

I won't be surprised if in Evergreen, the story is still the same except there are 2 purple guys (Simon and William) with Simon being the murderer of 87 and William 85. It will specifically focus on how Fnaf 2 influences Popgoes, stating that Simon got the lifeforce of the souls of fnaf 2, which William didn't get.

Onaf 3 is one of the games in fnaf fanverse. Plus Jonochrome (creator of the onaf3) said in his developer commentary video, that he made onaf3, because he found Scott Coffin's email about the fazber fanverse initiative in his trash folder (that's a long story).

So Popgoes is its own separate Canon and timeline, but it's based off of the timeline from FNAF 1 to FNAF 3. At this point it's definite that they're separate. Especially because the FNAF purple guy is William Afton, but the popgoes purple guy is Simon Fitzgerald
