Adobo is one of the most popular dishes in the Philippines. It can feature chicken or pork and sometimes includes hard-boiled eggs. My version of adobo uses pork and chicken. The adobo sauce is vinegary, salty, and sweet. Adobo is very easy to make, and tastes wonderful, especially after a day or two when the flavours have developed.

I think for someone who has never even tried this dish before, you did pretty well. 😀 Every family and region has their own way of making it, of course. Not everyone adds onions, for example, but my lola did and so naturally I think it's the best.

I live in the Philippine and everybody says they have the best adobo, but my wife's is the. best😂😂. Another delicious Filipino recepe is Beef Caldereta.

Ey up our lad our goer Keed, aye that Pork and Chicken Adobo looks absolutely cracking! Never tried a Filipino dish before, but this one with its vinegary, salty, and sweet sauce has got me proper intrigued. Love how you mix pork and chicken together - bet it’s reyt tasty. The lady who babysat me when I was a little girl was a Filipino. Guess what I ate when I was over there? Filipino Food! I like adobo, afritada (a chicken, sweet pepper, potato and carrot stew), pancit, and lumpia.

I eat Pork or Chicken Adobo all the time. Normally use Dark Soy Sauce. There are a couple of other Philippines dishes you could try. Caldera (Beef, Pork or Chicken) Kari Kare (Beef) (in Philippines they also use Tripe) Humba

Fantastic video Keef! Again Adobo is something I'd heard about but not looked into, so thanks for this. By the way, that must have been some procedure: a week later and it looks like your eyes are still watering! - Sorry just being silly.

That looks incredible. I am going to try that. I had a coly ectomy thingy. I was watching the Monitor Scrren with interest so I had no idea even how big the room was behind me. I do remember being encouraged to fart in the recovery cos I had been inflated with nitrogen a bit apparently. The more notable one was the opposite end when because I live alone I could not be put under and require after care, so all I had was a throat local and a single Nurse restraining me. I was thinking of a film I had seen in the past Charlton Heston as a Norman Lord thingy who demands primae noctis and she has to hold his arms while a battle woond is cauterised and the big bulky fella waving the redhot sword says it takes six men or one woman to do the holding. True, I believe.

IMHO your vinegar is way too polite. Cane or jungle vinegar gives more oomph. But it's yum either way.

@@Keefcooks I came to love it but the first time I tasted it, my eyes popped right open. I use white (distilled) vinegar now, instead. I learned some really interesting dishes from a friend’s wife. The noodle dishes pancit and bihon I still make. And need her recipe for a meatloaf that includes ground frankfurters (hot dogs, wieners in American parlance) which gives it pink flecks amongst the ground meat. Maybe you could schedule another “procedure” to contact your Philippina source. Thanks for all you do!
